Another interesting character in The Crown is Princess Margaret who was a rebel of her time and lived life on her terms. Both the actresses playing her, Vanessa Kirby and Helena Bonham Carter, have given tremendous performances.

Recently, the creator, Peter Morgan announced that The Crown will be canceled after five seasons

Originally, it was planned that the show will run for six seasons. However, it was decided recently that it will end after five seasons. While announcing the news, Peter Morgan said:

“At the outset I had imagined The Crown running for six seasons but now that we have begun work on the stories for season five it has become clear to me that this is the perfect time and place to stop. I’m grateful to Netflix and Sony for supporting me in this decision.”

Imelda Staunton The Crown

At the same time, he announced that Downton Abbey and Harry Potter famed, Imelda Staunton would be the Queen Elizabeth II of the 21st Century. While talking to the media, Imelda Staunton said:

So far, The Crown has exceeded our expectations and that’s what we expect from the next two seasons. However, it is disappointing to know that real-life MEGxit drama will not be shown on our TV screens. The fact that ‘The Crown’ is canceled is really sad news but at least we have some episodes to look forward to!
