And the impossible is about to happen! None other than Robert Downey Jr. is considering making a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Yes, you read that right. Although he was supposed to finish up with the franchise in question after “The Avengers: Endgame”, looks like Iron Man will have a strong presence in the future phase(s) of MCU.
Between 2008 and 2019, Robert Downey Jr. appeared in 10 Marvel movies. It’s an understatement to say that his portrayal of Tony Stark/Iron Man was as perfect as it could get. He was adored by the fans and stole every scene he was a part of.
As any sensible person would do, he cashed in on his success. From receiving only $800K in his first solo outing as the Iron Man to bagging a whopping $75M for Endgame, Downey’s meteoric rise to the Hollywood A-lister status is commendable.

The same source also indicates that he is willing to take a pay cut to keep appearing as Tony Stark in future Marvel flicks. Moreover, he has reportedly stated that he wishes to work with Tom Holland and Gwyneth Paltrow.
