Morena Baccarin Being Replaced As Vanessa In Deadpool

The creators over at Fox hit jackpot with Deadpool. The two films earned them over $1.5 billion at the box office. And it’s especially astounding, considering that he was a relatively unknown superhero among the audience. But, Disney has finally acquired Deadpool from Fox and is in full control of the creative side of the character. And it looks like Morena Baccarin, who played Vanessa in the first two films, will be their first casualty.

Morena Baccarin could be replaced as Vanessa in Deadpool 3

The thing about Vanessa is that her character has nothing special about her, other than being Wade Wilson’s love interest. It can be termed as weak character development, or in other words, a damsel in distress. Even though the writers brought her back to life in Deadpool 2 through time travel, after killing her off, it looks unlikely that Marvel will continue with Morena Baccarin or even Vanessa as a character.

However, it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the road for Baccarin. This is because there are rumors that she might make a return to the MCU but in a different role in Deadpool 4. That said, it still isn’t a guarantee that Baccarin is getting kicked out.

However, it is more important for there to be a Deadpool 3 first. This is because there have been a lot of mixed reports about the third film of the franchise. Ryan Reynolds is recently unsure of the chances of the film. And the creator of Deadpool, Rob Liefeld has been screaming that there won’t be a Deadpool 3 for months. Only time will tell whom should we believe.
