Lewis Capaldi breaks up with girlfriend Catherine Halliday

It is being reported that Lewis Capaldi has broken up with his girlfriend after seven months of dating. Because of his decision of not settling down just yet.

The break up came as a surprise to many after the fans assumes that Lewis was “smitten” with his 21-years old girlfriend earlier this summer.

But it is said that the two have finally decided to part ways and according to The Sun, Lewis is already registered on the Celebrity Dating App Raya.

A source told Sun:

“Lewis has no hard feelings towards Catherine and they’re still amicable, but they decided it was best to call it a day. He’s at the beginning of his career, with a lot of opportunity at his ­fingertips, so it’s not the right time to settle down. He wishes Catherine all the best and has fond memories of their dates together.”

Lewis Capaldi’s Relationship with Girlfriend

Earlier, in June it was revealed that Lewis was so in love with lover Catherine Halliday that he has written a song about her in his new album.The Scottish singer was said to have mentioned her flaming red locks in the ‘special’ song.

Lewis is presently in work on his new album as a follow-up to his Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent which won awards.

The Sun was told by a source at that time:

“Lewis’s tracks are mostly about love again but this time finding it, not losing it. He is smitten with Catherine and although it is early days, she has a nod on one of the tracks he has written. Lewis mentions her hair and it is really quite special. She has made him realize how to be happy again. Catherine was obviously made up there is a nod to her. She has something very special with Lewis.”

Lewis disclosed the news of his love affair. When earlier this year a fan asked if he preferred to stay single or dating. He also recently said that he was missing her because they were stuck at their homes because of self-isolation. He joked and said:

“I’m in a relationship so if I said the other one, my girlfriend would kill me. I’ve never told anybody I’m in a relationship, so there you go. She has got red hair; she has got quite a posh voice. And that is that, that’s all you’re getting.”

It was then disclosed in February that Lewis’s found love was 21 years old Scottish student Catherine.
