Marvel Phase 4 Movies and TV Shows Release Dates

Guys! It’s finally happening! No, not the joke raid that is supposedly going to happen on Area 51 sometime in September. We meant that Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is commencing. You may squeal in excitement and ignore the fact that the only exciting thing in our life is getting to know the release dates of future marvel movies. We speculated on the dates of these Marvel projects before but we were a little off…

So, without further ado, let’s see what the infamous Marvel producer Kevin Feige had to say about the future marvel movies. Apparently, we’re getting many more Marvel TV shows on Disney+ than we expected.

It all happened at a humble place called Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. It’s a magical place where all your dreams come true.

Starting off with Black Widow on May 1st, 2020

We’ve finally got some major details about the movie Black Widow. We are going to find out what happened to our girl Natasha Romanoff before she joined S.H.I.E.L.D. As you may recall, she was a secret Russian spy with a dark past. We’re finally going to know the past of Natasha.

The actress herself shared at the Comic-Con:

“I don’t think I could have played this iteration of Natasha 10 years ago. I get to play Natasha as a fully-realized woman…I’m excited for fans to see the flawed side of her, and I’m looking to wipe out some of that red in my ledger.”

As we all know, Black Widow has started shooting. So, Marvel showed the fans a bit of footage from the film. It was there the villain was revealed. It’s going to be Taskmaster, someone can copy any fighting move that is used against him.

The rest of the cast apart from Scarlett Johansson was confirmed as well. We’re going to see Stranger Things’ David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O.T. Fagbenle and Rachel Weisz with director Cate Shortland. It has already started filming as well.

We’ll also get the answer to why she didn’t get a dedicated funeral scene.

Eternals Coming Out on November 6th, 2020

Eternals is going to be the movie that will hopefully tell us more about Thanos’ past. Marvel’s producer Kevin Feige has said that it is going to something completely different and new! considering Marvel, that is certainly exciting. It’s going to be centered on a group of immortal beings that have resided on this planet for thousands of years.

The director of Eternals Chloe Zhao had this to say:

Through their journey, we really get to explore what it means to be human

It’s going to star Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Madden, Lauren Ridloff, Salma Hayek, Don Lee, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree, and Angelina Jolie.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Comes Out in Fall of 2020 on Disney+

Chris Evans’ Captain America retired in Avengers: Endgame and passed on the shield to his friend Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) aka The Falcon. Now, we’re going to be seeing a show starring The Falcon alongside Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) aka Winter Soldier. These two didn’t get along well initially but times surely change.

And it’s going to be a TV show! Apparently, it’s teased as a spy thriller. It will be taking place after the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings Come Outs February 12th, 2021

I was really hoping they would cast Ludi Lin as Shang-chi but alas Marvel studios have chosen Simu Liu as their Shang-Chi. He was cast this Tuesday. It is going to be about a Chinese mastermind that wants to take over the world. But his son, Shang-Chi, has to stop him. The story is interesting because our main lead doesn’t think his father is the bad guy until later on. Destin Daniel Cretton is directing the movie while Dave Callaham is working on the screenplay. The villain in the movie is Mandarin which is going to be played by Tony Leung. Plus, Awkwafina is in the movie too! We just don’t know her role as of now.

WandaVision Out in Spring 2021 on Disney+

We never get to know much about Wanda Maximoff’s story. So, we’re going to be getting to know Scarlett Witch in a way like never before. Elizabeth Olsen is reprising her role as Scarlett Witch and this is what she had to share about the TV show:

We’re going to finally understand Wanda Maximoff as Scarlet Witch

Just like The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, the show is going to take place after Avengers: Endgame. Plus, there is going to be an appearance from Monica Rambeau.

Finally! One of our favorite villains turned a good guy from the Marvel universe, Loki is getting his very own TV show. His character was worthy of it, let’s be honest. Tom Hiddleston is as excited as all his fans. Gloriously chanting ‘Loki, Loki, Loki’, the actor stated that Loki is still the same guy as we saw in the Avengers movies.

Moreover, Tom Hiddleston shared:

Just about the last thing that happened to him was he got Hulk-smashed. There’s a lot of psychological evolution that is yet to happen…I cannot wait to get started.

We will gt to know what happened after Loki disappeared in Avengers: Endgame after taking away the Tesseract. It will include time travel as well!

Okay, guys, Marvel is venturing into the horror genre. And they’re choosing Doctor Strange’s character to show us that! The director Scott Derrickson has shared that this Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is going to be Marvel Cinematic Universe’s first-ever ‘scary’ film. Of course, that makes sense since multiverses are no walk in paradise!

Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is pretty excited about the project:

“I’m really excited to be at the dawn of this project and I think it’s vital to maintain the humor from the first film, with this twist of horror that I think will really have people gripped. We’re going back to trying to destroy him a little bit.”

The cast may possibly include Jared Leto as the new villain, Nightmare. And there’s a chance Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will make an appearance as well.

Animated Series What If… Comes Out in Summer of 2021 on Disney+

Marvel is producing its first-ever animated series called What If! It is going to explore all the hypothetical questions that alter the course of events in the Marvel universe. For instance, What if Peggy Carter was given the super serum and not Steve Rogers?

Hawkeye Show Comes Out in Fall of 2021 on Disney+

Hawkeye AKA Clint Barton had a pretty rough time in the Marvel Cinematic universe. In Avengers: Endgame we saw him take on the persona of Ronin who took down criminals by his own doing. But the memories of that time will haunt him forever. Plus, he even lost his close friend Natasha Romanoff while they were trying to get the Soul Stone back to bring back everyone they lost after Thanos’ snap.

The Marvel producer Kevin Feige says the time Hawkeye played Ronin will be shown. But we’re also going to be seeing a comic book character on the screen: Kate Bishop. Kate Bishop is Hawkeye’s protege and is related to the group of Young Avengers.

Thor: Love And Thunder Comes Out November 5th in 2021

Who would have been the perfect choice for a female Thor? Of course, Natalie Portman, and Marvel agrees! So, yes we’re going to see Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster become the female Thor. The director is going to be Taika Watititi.

More About Future Marvel Movies

Sadly, the Marvel producer Kevin Feige did not have enough time to discuss their other projects such as Black Panther 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 or Captain Marvel 2.

Interestingly, Feige also shared that he also had to talk about Fantastic Four and how mutants enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though, we do know there’s going to be a movie about a vampire-hunting vampire. Yep, Marvel is working on the project of Blade! They’ve chosen Mahershala Ali, winner of two Oscars, as their main lead.
