We all remember the heart-wrenching, final scenes of the box office hit, Avengers: Endgame. The memorable scene brought together almost all the Marvel Cinematic Universe superheroes for Tony Stark’s funeral. Though the scene could not get any better, people were still annoyed at the fact that MCU didn’t give the same treatment to the other superheroes, who sacrificed their lives in the movie. One such character was The Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and this is what co-director Joe Russo had to say about it:

Well, Natasha has another movie coming out. Tony does not have another movie coming out.

Are The Rumors about The Black Widow Coming Back True?

Now, it does make sense what Joe Russo said. But maybe there’s more to this than what is being fed to us by the directors. There have been speculations about this and if there’s any authenticity in what the rumors have to say, then our suspicions might be of value.

According to some sources, Marvel is planning to resurrect the fan-favorite character, The Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson and somehow make her part of the main MCU timeline. We’re not sure if this is true but the same source did correctly predict the villainous role of Taskmaster in The Black Widow solo movie, Real Mandarin in Shang-Chi as well as Hulk’s presence in the Avengers: Endgame post-credit scene.

The exact theory of how Scarlett Johanson’s character Natasha Romanoff can be resurrected isn’t clear at the moment. But we’re pretty sure Marvel can get this done in some clever way if they want to. Especially now when we know that time-travel and wizardry, is part of their universe now.

From what we know, if The Black Widow is brought back to life, it will not be until later stages of phase 5 or 6.

I can tell you with ease that the fans don’t have to worry about not seeing Scarlett Johansson again after her solo flick in May 2020. She is here to stay for a while. I just hope that the resurrection plans do justice to her memorable sacrifice in Endgame.
