For Millennials. By Millennials.
The dreamy couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have recently donated $2 million to the most neglected community, Immigrant Children, in the USA. Reynolds is an environmentalist and an activist. He is doing advocacy and charity work for many years. And he is not alone in this. As Ryan Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively is also running charities and she supports many foundations.
Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively | Donation For Immigrant Children
The couple has distributed the donation amount between two non-profit organizations. Out of this, $1 Million will go to Legal Defense Fund (LFD) dedicated to strengthen democracy and advance racial justice. Whereas, the other $1 million will go to “Young Center” to protect the rights of immigrant children separated from their families.
These two stars do not like President Donald Trump and his policies. Trump Administration’s treatment of immigrant children has deeply disturbed Reynolds & Lively. Ryan Reynolds even reacted to the victory of Donald Trump as President of the United States in 2016 as a “very frighting time”.
Reynolds and lively said in a news release issued by the Young Center:
We’re blown away by the NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, and the young Center’s commitment to not only justice and democracy, but humanity. Over the last few years, our perspective has grown. And we’ve realized we have to do everything possible to foster more compassion and empathy in this world. History’s being written right now. We are grateful to give back to organizations who give voice to so many.
Legal Defense Fund’s Appreciation For The Couple’s Contribution

Maria Woltjen, executive director of the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights, stated:
“We are so deeply grateful for this extraordinary gift from Blake and Ryan. Their donation will help ensure that the most vulnerable immigrant children, who are in detention facing deportation, will have an advocate to protect their rights and their best interests.”
Woltjen continued,
“Children are escaping rampant violence and persecution to seek safe haven in the U.S.”
She confirmed that The Waymaker Fund for Immigrant Children is most needed right now. They are moved by Blake and Ryan’s kindness.
Ryan Reynolds’ Support To Charitable Organizations
Ryan Reynolds has a soft corner for children. At the time of shooting Deadpool 2, Reynolds invited children to the Deadpool sets through the Make-A-wish foundation. Ryan also contributed to the organization called “F*** Cancer” in recent times.
