It seems that COVID-19 is getting active again and making people sick. Recently, James Charles announced that he has tested positive for Coronavirus. According to him, he was vaccinated and got booster shots as well. However, it could not keep him safe from the virus. Similarly, Shane Dawson and Ryland Adams have also tested positive for the virus. So far, it’s unclear if they were taking precautions or not.

In July 2020, James Charles attended a party with Nikita Dragun, Charli, Dixie D’Amelio, Emma Chamberlain, and many others. It was the birthday party of Hype House’s Larray. After the news went viral, people criticized the influencers. Which prompted James Charles to issue an apology. He posted a video on his YouTube channel in which he explained:
“Even though I have been wearing a mask in public and have tested negative multiple times, going to a party during a pandemic was a selfish and stupid decision. People’s safety and keeping COVID-19 contained is FAR more important than celebrating a friend’s birthday and unsafe partying is not something I want to promote to my audience. I encourage you guys to be smarter than I was. Wear your masks and continue to social distance.”

“I don’t think I’ve ever said this out loud, I don’t know why I never talk about it, but way back in February, me, Shane, Madison and a bunch of my employees had COVID. So I had it so long ago. I’ve gotten tested a lot. We’ve done a lot of photo shoots. And I get tested all the time and I’ve never retested [positive].”
However, Dawson claimed that he had given Star the virus, along with his partner, Ryland Adams.
