While panic sweeps over the world, most people just want to be left alone with their earphones. And that works out quite well for us since self isolation is super important right now. Re: The COVID-19 epidemic. So for all you introverts (and the extroverts forced to stay at home), The Weeknd has a treat in store for you.
The Grammy winning singer released his fourth studio album called After Hours last Friday. Perfect for his fans to have a dance party at their houses on the weekend.
And as you’d expect, of course the fans went wild. As they should because of how epicly awesome the album is. But that’s besides the point.
It wasn’t long before fans got off the high of a new The Weeknd album and realized one very consistent theme throughout After Hours. And some of you know her as Bella Hadid.
The Weeknd and Bella Hadid have been on again-off again since 2015. One of Hollywood’s most talked about item, their current relationship status is still unclear. However, a source had revealed to E! News the past August that they had broken up. But it’s been a long time since then and there may have been a few instances that caused us to think maybe that news isn’t authentic anymore.
But whatever their relationship status might be, fans couldn’t help but notice The Weeknd had Bella Hadid on his mind while writing his new album. A track called “Escape From LA” hinted at the supermodel with the line “She got Chrome Hearts hangin’ from her neck,” hinting at her collab with them in the past.
For another track, “Snowchild,” the giggles heard after he sings,”She never need a man, she what a man need. So I keep on falling for her daily,” sounded like Hadid’s to listeners.
Moreover, referencing the on-and-off nature of their relationship In “Hardest to Love,” The Weeknd sings, “I can’t, can’t believe you want me. After all the heart breaks, after all I’ve done.”
Although all this could just as easily be speculation since neither The Weeknd nor Bella Hadid has commented on it. But the fans seem to be convinced that Bella Hadid is to be thanked for this new album. “Thank you for being the reason behind 56 minutes and 12 seconds of musical euphoria,” a fan tweeted.
