For Millennials. By Millennials.
A piece of great news comes as Netflix USA announces the coming of 90s kids’ favorite anime, Avatar: The Last Airbender. The video streaming platform announced on Twitter that the company of Avatar Aang and his friends will be joining Netflix on May 15. We can finally binge-watch the Avatar as he goes on a quest to master four elements, water, earth, fire, and air. This is his sole duty for now if he is to stop the deadly Fire Nation’s Fire Lord Ozai from taking over the world in rage. The show originally aired on Nickelodeon from 2005 to 2008. Now, after 15 years of its release, the show will join Netflix as its revival.
Avatar: The Last Airbender Is One Of Many In The Netflix List
Although Avatar: The Last Airbender will be a sweet addition to the Netflix list of shows, it is not the only newcomer. The streaming platform also plans to bring other anime onboard as well. The guys at Netflix are working on to bring live-action adaptation of the show as well. Here, we will only like to hope this version to be eons better than what M. Night Shyamalan gave us. As mentioned above, Netflix broke the news of Avatar TLA’s release on Twitter. Have a look:

Netflix is also working on The Dragon Prince, a show that has contributions from screenwriter Aaron Ehasz. He worked on the Avatar show. Also, Netflix announced that they will also air the new episodes of the Pokemon animated series. Netflix has been increasing its investment in child-friendly content recently. By pushing money into animations and similar content, they are building content for children, similar to Disney Plus and YouTube. We already know how the streaming service earned the rights to release 21 Ghibli Studio movies outside its North America region. Therefore, Avatar: The Last Airbender is just one of the many animations they are working on.
