Mindy Kaling has created another masterpiece, this time for Netflix. ‘Never Have I Ever’ starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan has opened up to universal acclaim; critics are in awe of its hilariously honest, poignant humor and its charmingly talented cast. While Kaling had zeroed her lead after an open casting call, she has summoned a lot of familiar faces for her coming-of-the-age gemstone. In the main cast, there is The Act’s Poorna Jagannath, and in the supporting cast, there is a range of seasoned faces, from Niecy Nash to even Andy Samberg. Kaling has even got some friends and ex-costars to star on the show. The Office’s Angela Kinsey stars as Vivian. And the actress has recently revealed that Mindy had cast her over text for the show.

In a recent Instagram post, as well as in a tweet, Angela Kinsey revealed how Mindy Kaling brought her on-board for ‘Never Have I Ever’. Well, the process was quite simple, Kaling texted Kinsely that ‘there was a role’, and they sealed the deal. That’s it. That simple. Kinsley’s latest post about her casting reflects the actress’ faith in friend Mindy Kaling’s creative. The actresses had shared screen space on NBC’s groundbreaking comedy ‘The Office’. There, the two bonded. And now, 15 years into the premiere of the show, the stars still cherish their camaraderie.
Kinsey even stated that she was available for all the ‘mom roles’ Kaling had to offer her. She praised the show’s writing and cast and expressed that she is looking forward to more ventures.

Netflix is yet to drop a renewal announcement for ‘Never Have I Ever’, but a season 2 seems logically inevitable. The show had an emotionally explosive finale, and fans are looking forward to seeing Maitreyi Ramakrishnan reprise her role soon. But,
