Apparently, the upcoming YouTubers Vs. TikTokers event might not occur. The TikTok’s parent company has ordered a cease-and-desist against LiveXLive, the organizers of the event. The letter is asking for the complete cancellation of the event.

Why are they filing a cease and desist letter againt YouTubers Vs. TikTokers event?
A cease and desist, by legal definition, means “A cease and desist is an order or request to stop suspicious or illegal activities.”
TikTok’s owner ordering this means that they do not like the platform’s name associated with the event, which they deem is ‘violent’ and ‘unsafe’ during a pandemic. Even though vaccinations are happening, it’s still not entirely safe to have huge crowds gathering so suddenly. Moreover, the TikTok’s owners do not want people to believe that they are sponsoring or endorsing this event.
Though, it must be noted that the event’s official name isn’t YouTubers Vs. TikTokers. It’s actually Social Gloves: Battle of the Platforms. However, the YouTubers Vs. TikTokers name is so commonly used in the event’s marketing strategies on social media and the official website.
It’s unclear if the event will get cancelled or not but let’s wait and see what happens.
Before the cease and desist, there were some hurdles for the event
The much anticipated press conference for Austin McBroom and Bryce Hall ended in a huge brawl between them. That didn’t really come as a surprise since the two have been beefing online for quite some time, often leading to a lot of drama. Moreover, the conference itself was disappointing too as it was overcrowded and haphazard.
Another thing that might go wrong with the event (if it happens), is that Tayler Holder might not get the chance to fight AnEsonGib because of their weight differences. This is very disappointing for the fans as Tayler Holder is one of the most popular influencer participating in the event.
Apart from these, those participating in the event are Nate Wyatt, Tanner Fox, Deji, Vinnie Hacker, DDG, Ryalnd Storms, Faze Jarvis, and Michael Le.
