After the show, both of them had a successful career path on their own and remained great friends. Now, they’re reuniting for a special project, the movie ‘The Fallout’.

The Fallout is a movie about a school shooting starring Maddie Ziegler and Jenna Ortega

This is a serious movie about the repercussions of a school shooting on the community and the survivors. It focuses on the Gen Z generation and shows them in a serious light, as opposed to other portrayals.

While sharing the trailer on her social media, Shailene Woodley writes how Megan Park is so creative and talented to capture the human emotions in such a brilliant way:

sooooo. my OG girl @megan_park has slayed my heart over and over again since our secret life of the american teenager days with her creativity + ability to see through the masks we all wear in order to absorb the full human experience … but, she has taken that slay to a whole new level with @the_fallout_movie. @jennaortega + @maddieziegler + @nilesfitch + @lumipollack + the ENTIRE cast give this film such a moving and entrancing truth with their work …

it’s no secret to any of us the effects irresponsible gun use + violence has on our society … especially on young people trying to live their best lives in public schools.

megan has written + directed a movie that will touch your SOUL and have you thinking about it for days, months, years later.

i’m so proud of you dude. i couldn’t be more inspired by the way you so uniquely use your force to tell stories that not only MATTER, but also that are told in innovative, beautiful, honest, and real ways.

The actress was also praising the entire cast and crew for bringing it their all to the movie. Shailene is sure that the movie will touch everyone’s souls.

Woodley then encourages everyone to watch the movie that’s coming on HBO Max on January 27th.

The actress shares that everyone should be prepared to have their heart melted and exploded “all at once”. Moreover, people will be especially falling in love with how the movie was shot and directed. The ‘Divergent’ actress believes that the upcoming movie is an honest portrayal of our youth:

LOOK OUT FOR THE FALLOUT ON HBO MAX! it drops jan 27th.

be prepared to have your heart melt + contract + expand + implode + explode all at once.

also. be prepared to fall in LOVE with the way she shot this movie. hot damn it’s gorgeous.

i’m not sure i’ve ever seen a more honest portrayal of what our youth experience today … both the pulses of their inner worlds + the textures that make up their outer experiences.

@megan_park the ultimate babe. my forever muse. just don’t let it get to your head. even though you’re a 1000000000000000000000/1 writer/director/creator now, don’t think our kitchen musical karaoke parties are over.

Megan Park was grateful for her friend’s kind words and thanked her for being in the movie.

😢😢😢 I am so grateful for you. Thank you for coming to play and being so supportive and inspiring. I love you. Since I met you in those keds at 15, from kitchen Karaoke to holding hands and sobbing through several Broadway shows… can’t wait to keep being inspired and creating together forever. Ily ily ily

The movie definitely seems like a must-watch so mark your calendars!
