It would not be wrong to say that PewDiePie is among the most popular YouTubers. He has done everything from gaming walkthroughs to commenting on other YouTubers. Recently, the YouTuber reacted to mukbang videos and YouTubers who make them. While talking about it, he talked about Nikocado Avocado and his videos. According to him, Avocado is promoting obesity, and his videos disgust him. Needless to say, a war is going to happen soon.
Before it was even a career, PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, started working as a YouTuber. In 2010, he dropped out of college, saying he was no longer interested in the degree. At the same time, he claimed he could not relate to anyone there. Initially, PewDiePie would give a rundown of video games and noticed that people enjoyed it. By 2015, he had launched several of his own video games and written a book. At the same time, it was reported that he made $13 million in 2019 alone. Similarly, PewDiePie is the only creator with 100 million subscribers.
In his recent YouTube video, PewDiePie discussed Nikocado Avocado and his mukbang videos. According to him, Nikocado Avocado does the best thumbnails and is the boss of mukbang videos. During the video, he showed clips of Avocado’s videos where he eats various foods, including blue noodles. However, he only prefers to drink Coke Zero with it. While talking about it, PewDiePie said:
If Nikocado Avocado makes a comeback with a ripped body, it would be the funniest conclusion of his saga. I guess my final take of mukbang is that I hate it. It grosses me out but clearly, people like it. Anything for YouTubers to exploit people to the max. I just find it weird how this kind of stuff on YouTube… and I’m not saying they should do something about it, I’m just observing things. They’re blatantly promoting obesity and glorifying it. At least they’re not condoning it, Nikocaod has never condone it. And it has its effect and kids are impressionable.
Although PewDiePie has faced his fair share of criticism, there are many times people agree with him as well. Similarly, Nikocado Avocado and his videos provoked similar emotions in many people. It turns out many feel the same about Avocado’s mukbang videos. According to one person:
every time I see him eat 20,000 in one sitting it makes me want to skip a meal lmao
Another said:
He makes me want to take better care of myself. not sure how anyone could be inspired by how bad he eats.
Meanwhile, one person shared their own observation about Nikocado Avocado.
Why do I feel like Nikicado has a humiliation fetish
One person agreed with PewDiePie, saying:
he’s not wrong, you could say the same to most mukbangers & “some” body positivity tiktokers/youtubers
Another person urged YouTube not to promote such things:
Eating that much food is not health. This is literally self harm, just like how starving yourself is, and he’s doing it for views and ppl are pointing, laughing and enjoying it. YouTube should not be allowing this extreme content on their platform and definitely should not be paying ppl to create it. Having a bigger body type isn’t an issue, being unhealthy and hurting yourself is and ppl seem to get so wrapped up in making sure all body types are accepted, that they overlook unhealthy and self destructive ones in the process.
Needless to say, people were in PewDiePie’s corner on this one. Judging from the past, Nikocado Avocado will respond to this video by PewDiePie. Let’s see what he has to say about it.
