For years after being in the streaming market and showcasing a pool of documentaries, Netflix is now venturing into the world of newborn babies!
Yes, you heard that right! Netflix is expanding its growing library of fascinating documentaries with an adorable new addition: Babies. ‘Babies’ will air on February 21st, 2020. This is a new multi-part series that follows newborns from their first day into the world until their first step. The documentary will follow fifteen international families over the course of three years. Netflix says:
Babies is a landmark documentary series that explores the miracle of the first full year of life through the pioneering work of leading scientists from across the globe.
The program features Rebecca Spencer from UMASS, Michael Georgieff from the University of Minnesota. The show also includes; Professor Susan Lynch from the University of California, San Francisco and Professor Ruth Feldman, IDC, Herzliya, Israel. Babies will collectively talk about the importance of naps for learning, how baby memories are formed and how living with pets is beneficial for babies. The documentary will also explore the discovery that the rise in the bonding hormone that occurs in new mothers can also take place in men.
