After performing La Di Die with Jaden Hossler and Travis Barker on the Ellen Show, Nessa is now performing solo while promoting her music. Recently, she performed in DTS Sound Space and it was a brilliant performance. Nessa started off her performance with her original song, If You Love Me. While most of the lyrics remained the same, she tweaked a few lyrics.
Original:
Cause what you don’t know
When my heart goes cold
I hold my demons close
And I don’t let go
No, I don’t let go
Changed to:
Cause what you don’t know
When my heart goes cold
I hold my demons close
So, I let you go
Oh, I let you go

She did not just change this part only. Nessa Barret also changed the ending of her song, leaving another shade on Josh Richards. When the Jaden-Nessa scandal hit the internet after Mads Lewis’s now-deleted tiktok, Josh Richards confessed his true love for Nessa. However, Nessa has something else to say about it:
Original:
Oh, my darling
Please save yourself from hurting
If you love me, let me go
If you love me, let me go
Changed to:
Oh, my darling
Please save yourself from hurting
If you love me, let me go
You don’t love me, we both know
Nessa Barrett has been dealing with a lot of hate recently. She is also being blamed for coming between Josh Richards and Jaden Hossler. However, Nessa has claimed that her upcoming EP will tell her side of the story.
Fans reaction and more shade
Nessa’s fans know the lyrics by heart and they knew what’s changed as soon as they heard it. A few commented on YouTube, reacting to Nessa Barrett changing the lyrics of the song. She also performed La Di Die, and this time she was singing Jaden Hossler’s part as well:
She also performed Sweater Weather by The Neighborhood, a pretty romantic song and probably a dedication to Jaden Hossler. On the other hand, she also performed 505 by Arctic Monkeys. And that song is a whole different vibe. Some believe this song represents a toxic relationship.
Nessa Barrett has not confirmed the date of her EP release yet.
