From the beginning, I Love You, America has been about Sarah Silverman clutching people from outside the liberal bubble and dragging them under fire, mostly for the right reasons. Silverman may not have her show anymore, but that isn’t something that can keep her from voicing about the injustice in the world.
Recently, Silverman yet again took a jibe at Trump. While the motive wasn’t exactly clear, it appears that Silverman had actually vented out contempt over Trump’s new plans for detained immigrants. Silverman’s tweet; however, did not go down well with Buffy The Vampire Slayer star Kristy Swanson. Swanson quickly fired back at Sarah for her criticism over Donald Trump while also challenging the latter’s comedic talents.
Much like Silverman’s hate for Donald Trump, Swanson’s overwhelming support for the Republican government is no hush-hush. Kristy has, in the past come out in support of Brett Kavanaugh. In fact, she’s even sparred with Kathy Griffin over Trump’s border wall.
Swanson excuses her conservative ideologies in the guise of a woman desperate to save America from inevitable doom.
In her most recent online spat, Kristy Swanson has locked horns with comedian Sarah Silverman. Swanson even went to the extent of shaming Silverman’s sense of humor.
Here’s what happened.
Yesterday, Trump announced that he plans to administer illegal immigrants into sanctuary cities only; an idea triggering dilemmas about cost and security.
While he was at it, Donald Trump also made sure that his considerations were able to direct some hate towards his enemies: the alt-left. Putting democrats and the ‘radical’ Left to blame is something the current president is quite passionate about. He stated the alt-Left was to blame for risking the country with its ‘dangerous immigration laws’, Trump insisted that he had been left with no option.
In response to the allegations that were wheeled in by Donald Trump, Silverman took to Twitter to voice her anger. Kristy Swanson took notice of the tweet from Silverman and reprimanded the I Love You, America host for cracking a tasteless joke.
Silverman chose not to respond to Swanson, but she did leave a like on her tweet. Silverman has been largely concerned about Trump reigniting white supremacy and his unjust policies resulting from that ideology. The stand-up had also repeatedly drawn attention to the election of Brett Kavanaugh into the Supreme Court– subjects where the Kristy Swanson star has largely differed.
