Kirk Douglas (actor, producer, philanthropist, director, and writer) passed away on February 5, 2020, at the age of 103. The 3x Oscar-nominated star, and father of legendary actor Michael Douglas, is no more among us. He will always be known for his outstanding contribution to the Entertainment industry with projects like Spartacus, Town Without Pity and more! Various stars have paid tribute to Douglas including Hugh Jackman.
Hugh Jackman Pens Down a Heartfelt Note in Memory of Kirk Douglas
Countless Hollywood celebrities have done their part in remembering the legendary actor. Among these celebrities, Hugh Jackman’s tribute stood out the most. The X-Men star took to Twitter, praised the Spartacus star and opened up about his experience meeting him. He said,
“Kirk Douglas was one of the greatest actors of all time. A few years ago Deb & I went around for tea. It was one of the most wonderful afternoons we’ve ever spent. Kirk shared amazing stories. He was funny, self-deprecating, giving & brutally honest. In a word … LEGEND.”

Jackman also posted a lengthy tribute on his official Instagram account. He attached several pictures and hailed Douglas as “Larger Than Life”.
Michael Douglas Announces the Passing of his Father
The Ant-Man star and son of Kirk Douglas, Michael posted about his father’s passing on his official Facebook page. The post read,
“It is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today at the age of 103.”
While Douglas’ demise is a tough pill to swallow, at least the World War II navy veteran has left behind a legacy most people strive to live up to. Jackman’s reaction to his demise was as genuine and emotional as it could get.
