Does anyone remember Hozier? Yes, Hozier. The legend that sang ‘Take me to Church’, the song everyone loved (even homophobic people that didn’t understand what it meant). Well, since the song he’s had quite a successful year with albums like ‘Wasteland, Baby!’. And he also made the internet lose its mind by using an interesting filter. And yes, you read the title. It’s not clickbait. Hozier became Squidward. 2020 is wild.

Hozier apologizes for becoming Squidward…

It was a normal day, going like any other. But it was about to take a turn for Hozier fans. For they found this on their Instagram:

My brain has not yet evolved to understand what this was but it was something I will forever remember. But Hozier, one of the most beloved singers of our time ended up apologizing for becoming Squidward:

“I am so mortified. I am not high. And I just pressed the wrong button and then my phone, my phone sh*t the bed. And then, I couldn’t delete it fast enough. Then I come back to it, it’s seen by a reg people. You live by the Squidward filter, you die by the Squidward filter. I’m so sorry. Never again.”

Ladies and gentlemen, this is how you apologize. The way he’s genuinely sorry and providing a very reasonable explanation for the Squidward filter. That deserves our applause. Hozier will go down in the history books as a legend.
