For Millennials. By Millennials.
Does anyone remember Hozier? Yes, Hozier. The legend that sang ‘Take me to Church’, the song everyone loved (even homophobic people that didn’t understand what it meant). Well, since the song he’s had quite a successful year with albums like ‘Wasteland, Baby!’. And he also made the internet lose its mind by using an interesting filter. And yes, you read the title. It’s not clickbait. Hozier became Squidward. 2020 is wild.
Hozier apologizes for becoming Squidward…
It was a normal day, going like any other. But it was about to take a turn for Hozier fans. For they found this on their Instagram:
HOZIER POSTED THIS BY ACCIDENT AND THEN APOLOGIZED AND I AM PEEING pic.twitter.com/7uLuzn3NUO

My brain has not yet evolved to understand what this was but it was something I will forever remember. But Hozier, one of the most beloved singers of our time ended up apologizing for becoming Squidward:
“I am so mortified. I am not high. And I just pressed the wrong button and then my phone, my phone sh*t the bed. And then, I couldn’t delete it fast enough. Then I come back to it, it’s seen by a reg people. You live by the Squidward filter, you die by the Squidward filter. I’m so sorry. Never again.”

Ladies and gentlemen, this is how you apologize. The way he’s genuinely sorry and providing a very reasonable explanation for the Squidward filter. That deserves our applause. Hozier will go down in the history books as a legend.
And these days, people just need a convenient excuse to lose their minds. That is exactly what they did.
The story did get posted on Twitter and it was chaos everywhere
So, without further ado, I present to you the best internet reactions to the adorable mishap by Hozier.

I love how crazy and insane internet humor can get.
hozier: "when the stench of the sea and the absence of green / are the death of all things that are seen and unseen / not an end, but the start of all things that are left to do"
also hozier: "you live by the squidward filter you die by the squidward filter"

Of course, Twitter had fun with the fact that Hozier didn’t want this on Twitter:
Some fans were genuinely wanting to see more of Hozier’s hidden content:
And one tweet that makes you laugh at the perfection that is Hozier:
some celebrities accidentally leak their n*des and then hozier accidentally leaks handsome squidward selfies.
