What team? If you said Wildcats, I’m proud of you. Because once a wildcat, always a wildcat. Even during a global pandemic. And even while social distancing. Just like the High School Musical cast.
The cast of Disney’s 2006 TV movie High School Musical got together on Zoom to have a little reunion as they all practiced social distancing at their homes. Vanessa Hudgens, who played the role of Gabriella Montez, posted a picture of their Zoom meeting to her Instagram with the caption, “Guess who’s back…”

Also participating in the call were fellow cast members Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel and Monique Coleman. The cast members were also joined by High School Musical director, Kenny Ortega. However, fans noted Zac Efron, lead actor of the film and Vanessa’s real life ex was absent from the call. Bart Johnson, who played Coach Bolton, was also absent. However, he couldn’t help but comment on Vanessa’s post.
“Warms my heat every time i see a family reunion i didn’t get invited to. [red heart emoji] [frowning face emoji] [silly face emoji] #typical [laughing face emoji],” he wrote.
“Together….together…..[piano emoji] [winking face emoji],” Monique also commented on Vanessa’s post.
Director Kenny Ortega also shared another photo of a Zoom reunion with several of the dancers from the movie along with the choreographer, Charles “Chucky” Klapow.

The cast has had a few reunions in the past. (Excluding Zac Efron) Whether it’s through a viral TikTok or through a duet together.
But the entire team reuniting like this could only mean one thing. Something big is coming. Are they doing a proper reunion show? What is all this for? Are we getting another High School Musical film? We have so many questions!!
