For Millennials. By Millennials.
Last we saw Arya Stark in Game of Thrones, she set her sails to explore the world beyond the sunset sea. However, she may have stumbled upon the hype around Bitcoins along the way. Maisie Williams recently asked her millions of followers if she should buy Bitcoins or not. And hundreds upon thousands told her not to. But, she didn’t listen…
So, on the 17th of November, Williams asked her 2.7 million followers on her official Twitter account whether she should “go long on bitcoin ?”. Going long on any investment means that you purchase something with the expectation that its value will rise. And the results were interesting…
should i go long on bitcoin ?

53.4% of the 902,304 who voted told her not to buy any Bitcoin. However, people didn’t just stop at the simple poll. Her very serious fans got in her replies and intricately explained why she shouldn’t buy any cryptocurrency. And Williams got a lot of advice, and all kinds of it as well. Many people recommended her to not buy big at the start, and instead learn as she went along step by step.
Start small and learn more as you go. Happy to help if you've got questions and want to avoid scams in the space.

However, there were others who begged Maisie Williams to not invest in Bitcoin, saying it was disastrous to the environment. Moreover, others said they lost their life’s savings on the cryptocurrency as well. Here are some of them:
I lost almost all my life savings in this market 40,000$ plus.. Don't play with your money. YoiYou can give part to the orphanage if you want to invest

HELL NO. Not only is it an insane investment, it's disastrous for the planet.

Bitcoin is an environmental disaster, built on the principle of consuming ever larger amounts of energy. If it ever achieves the success its proponents hope it will it will be the final nail in the coffin of a livable Earth.

And then there was Elon Musk being… Elon Musk in Maisie Williams’s replies. As usual, I have no idea what he said:

If only Maisie Williams had learned from JK Rowling’s experience on Bitcoin. The Harry Potter writer openly admits that she wishes she hadn’t tweeted about Bitcoin. So, what did Williams ended up doing?
Maisie Williams buys Bitcoin
Despite the overwhelming number of people voting for no, Willians still bought some cryptocurrency, tweeting:
thank you for the advice. i bought some anyway. https://t.co/mhZiVoN6vy pic.twitter.com/XeU1KkfuXy

The “anyway” pretty much shows she went against the advice on Twitter. But since when has Arya ever cared about what others think? And that’s a trait common with Bitcoin buyers as well. Moreover, she may have made the right choice as well. This is because Bitcoin is again on the rise. A month, ago, the cryptocurrency was at $11,300. Now, it is close to $18,000, with the market hitting an all-time high. So, I guess better late than never?
