Fantastic Beasts 3 was to commence its’ movie production on Monday, March 16th. However, the production is now halted. Not much is known about the plot of the movie. But, it was known that it would be shot in Brazil.
Movie production was planned to begin earlier this year but was postponed and not it is delayed again. Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald did not perform on the box office as well as expected. It made $650- million dollars worldwide compared to the first movie, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which made over $800 million dollars on box office worldwide. And because of this fall in performance, Warner Bros. took a step back and made delays for the trilogy’s production.
Now due to the coronavirus fear and its fast spread, Warner Bros. has shut down the production for Fantastic Beasts 3.
Movies’ plot and cast
Newt Scamander, played by Eddie Redmayne continues with his adventures protecting all the magical beasts he’s sworn to protect. The movie is set in Europe. And serves as a prequel to the Harry Potter series. Other prominent actors to star in the new movie include Johnny Depp, Katherine Waterston, Jude Law, Ezra Miller, and Dan Fogler. This trilogy is once again directed by David Yates, who also directed the first two movies in the series.
J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter is co-writing the script for Fantastic Beats 3 along with Steve Kloves. Steve wrote seven out of eight of the Potter movies.
