For Millennials. By Millennials.
Want to look and fight like Thor? Chris Hemsworth launches his new fitness app. Centr 6, is what he’s calling his app. From February 4th, 2020 Apple Watch and iPhone can indulge in the wide variety the app offers. This fitness app includes workouts, meal plans, and carefully planned exercises, all tailored by the Australian actor himself.
Hemsworth shares:
“I believe we all have untapped potential. And we all need support to achieve our goals. Centr puts the world’s best in the palm of your hand. It helps you develop a healthier body, stronger mind, and a happier life.”
About the app
The health app offers a user-friendly outlook. You can select activities and exercises you’re interested in and ones you don’t fancy can be swapped out. Yeah, high-intensity interval training, you’re outta here! Like most apps, Centr 6 revolves around a central feed. Through the central feed, you can skim your weekly planner, stay updated with new exercise and meditation videos AND scroll through all healthy recipes too. Chris Hemsworth’s fitness program features a workout section featuring 20 or 40-minute sessions for home or the gym. And videos and workout sessions on the app include boxing, HIIT, yoga, strength training, and others.
In-app tracker
Like most fitness apps, you’ll be able to set a goal and track your progress while choosing your intensity level. Along with Apple Watch, this app will be able to log your workouts. Moreover, it can even record your heart rate. The app promises guided meditations, confidence-building exercises, “sleep visualizations,” and tips for dealing with stress.
The meal plan
It can be altered to your dietary requirements including gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, or pescatarian. The Marvel star developed the app with a team of highly qualified chefs. The team also includes his wife, actress Elsa Pataky. He also involved others such as Hollywood trainers, Hollywood stuntmen, a Navy SEAL trainer, yoga and pilates instructors, a psychotherapist, meditation experts and more. The app contains a variety of meal plans because it offers a good variety of food items to choose from, as advocated by Jacob Osborn on his fitness blog.
The app is not cheap because pre-ordered subscriptions value at $15.99 a month. However, to be fair that’s still cheaper than most gym memberships.
If nothing else, the trailer for Centr 6 is a work of art. It is set in Australia’s Byron Bay starring many incredibly beautiful people, including Hemsworth, who does yoga on an empty beach among other activities.
