Yes, guys, you heard it right. There is going to be another remake of the famous movie Cinderella. The news of making Cinderella starring Camila was announced in April 2019. The report said that she will be playing the main lead in the movie. Billy Porter is also starring as a Fairy Godmother in the movie. The movie will be available on Amazon Prime and doesn’t have a release date yet. But it’s going to be sometime soon in September.
The modern take on the classic Disney story will star the famous popstar aka singer Camila Cabello as Cinderella and Billy Porter as her Fairy Godmother. Idina Menzel will be taking the role of Evelyn, the evil stepmother, and Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Robert. Idina is also a Tony and Grammy-winning actress. She was also the voice of Elsa in Frozen’s “Let It Go”. And guess what, the story is written by none other than the very hilarious James Corden.

Cinderella is written and directed by Kay Cannon who is a very famous for her production of Pitch Perfect series.
Cannon recently shared with Entertainment Weekly:
Camilla Cabello is going to surprise everyone. She is so fantastic. She is so good, and she is so natural. And just funny and beautiful and really really talented.
Cinderella is being produced by Leo Pearlman, James Corden, Jonathan Kadin, and Shannon McIntosh. And the executive producers are Josephine Rose and Louise Rosner.
And while talking about Billy Porter’s character in the movie, Cannon shared that it was actually Billy’s idea to portray his character as a gender-less fairy because ‘magic has no gender‘.

Entertainment Weekly also shared a new picture of Porter as Fab G and we are STUNNED. The costume is everything that Porter is, which is Extravagant, Bold, and Beautiful. And it is exactly like something Porter would wear to a red carpet.
