Ben Stiller Uses His Power to Draw Attention Towards Refugees

This definitely was not the first time that Ben Stiller stepped up for refugees. Previously, the actor and director tried to use his star power to bring attention to the issue. And even believed that United States should be leading in the world trying to find a solution. He said that,

We can’t act out of fear. Nightline. I understand the fear. I want our country to be secure, but I think compassion and security are not mutually exclusive. This country has always opened its arms to immigrants, to refugees, to those fleeing persecution.  It’s very important that we change the policy and we get back to doing what we have done.

Back in the same year, he traveled to the Azraq camp in Jordan to meet with refugees — more than 35,000 refugees living there had fled the bloodshed and terror of ISIS.
