It seems like the world is going on crazy havoc due to the health pandemic we’re facing. It’s as if everyone was suddenly transported into a movie where coronavirus is drastically changing our lives. With no proper cure and vaccine in sight, everyone is in panic mode and staying at home in hopes that the virus doesn’t spread. It is in times like these where world leaders need to step up and think fast on how to keep everyone secure. Some like Justin Trudeau are succeeding while others such as Donald Trump are not. Well, what if we told you that in the 1990s, a psychic named Baba Vanga predicted that the whole world would be engulfed in Coronavirus and that Donald Trump would get it?
Just because someone happens to predict something, does not mean it will always come true. In the age of science and technology, everyone is skeptical of psychics and mystics. But the crazy thing about Baba Vanga’s prediction about Coronavirus is that it actually did come true. Unless you’re completely in denial over what’s happening in the world right now. So, what did Baba Vanga predict?
Baba Vanga, real name Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, was a blind mystic lady. Just before she died, she shared something ominous with her Russian visitor, Neshka Stefanova Robeva:
Corona will be all over us.
Now, Corona means guardianship in Russian. So, the Russian native Neshka naturally assumed it had something to do with the governance of Russia. But now Neshka realizes that the mystic Baba Vanga was talking about Coronavirus.
There was also another prediction along with the Coronavirus one. Apparently, she also predicted that the 45th President of the United States (which is Donald Trump) would become very sick. Moreover, the president in question would die from the said illness.
Now, people are already questioning whether Donald Trump has contracted the Coronavirus or not. The president did get a test for the COVID-19 coronavirus (SARS-CoV2) and reportedly he has tested negative.
But as we know, Donald Trump isn’t known as the most honest president in United States history. So, there is a possibility that he could be lying. Or there’s a possibility that he may contract Coronavirus later on. Even though Anti-Trump citizens of the US are wishing this is true, let’s see what actually happens.
A prediction by a mystic such as Baba Vanga herself should always be taken with a grain of salt. No matter what your beliefs are, whether you’re religious or spiritual, whether you’re a Christian, Muslim, or an atheist, believing in really old predictions isn’t always rational.
Despite news sources and other websites claiming that Baba Vanga predicted Coronavirus, we can’t pinpoint the source to her.
It’s simply word of mouth. She was not literate enough to write any books herself as per the Skeptics website:
Vanga was illiterate or semi-literate, and she apparently did not write any books herself, with staff members financed by the Bulgarian government capturing what she allegedly said.
The Donald Trump getting coronavirus prediction especially gained popularity in social media. In Neshka’s original statement, there was no mention.
Latin Times reports that Baba Vanga predicts Donald Trump would get a mysterious illness that would make him deaf and develop a brain tumor. These symptoms aren’t included in the coronavirus, at least not in the cases we know of.
In order to know the accuracy of Baba Vanga’s predictions, we must look at her success rate, which her believers think is 85%. Apparently, she predicted some events with quite a lot of accuracy (if it indeed was her). Some examples include Barack Obama getting elected in 2009, the famous Brexit as well as the 9/11 terror attack.
I’m a bit skeptical of the 9/11 incident since even The Simpsons supposedly predicted that too. It seems like the deeper you go into the mystic’s predictions and history, the more you enter into the conspiracy theory realm.
For example, she also predicted that Vladimir Putin will die in an assassination attempt in 2020 plus that we would all be living underwater in 2130 thanks to aliens:
“On a more positive note, she predicted that in 2028 mankind will fly to Venus to search for new sources of energy – she must not have seen the toxic and corrosive atmosphere of the planet – and that by 2130 civilizations will live underwater with the help of aliens.”
Though, she also apparently predicted the rise of Isis in the Middle East:
The ISIS event did in fact happen, but Europe still exists so not exactly accurate.
Apparently, all the mystics that got visions of the future only happened to snapshots of events. If they could predict something devastating such as the Coronavirus, they probably didn’t get to see how the world would deal with it or if we’d get a vaccine soon. This is alarming and why I prefer not to believe the mystics too much.
Let’s hope the world gets rid of the curse of Coronavirus soon before the death toll reaches too high a number.
