1. Shazam! Fury of the Gods

Helen Mirren and Lucy Lui star as Hespera and Kalypso, the villains in the movie. Originally set to release during the Holiday season of 2022, the Shazam 2 release date was pushed back to March 2023. So mark your calendars, and get ready for a superhero sequel that’s sure to be a hit.

In the upcoming DC movies list, Shazam! Fury of the Gods has us all wondering if we’ll be seeing Black Adam and Shazam face off before the highly-anticipated sequels of each – Black Adam 2 and Shazam! 3 (even though neither is currently on DC’s movie slate).

That aside, it’s exciting to see that one of the most unique, refreshing, and humorous superhero franchises from DC isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Shazam may not be as well-known as Superman, but the incredible reception to the first movie might suggest that that’ll change soon enough.

2. The Flash

The Flash will introduce us to the multiverse, with Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck both reprising their roles as Batman. We’ll also get to meet the DCEU’s Supergirl, Sasha Calle, and Ron Livingston as Barry’s dad, Henry Allen. Get your capes ready folks, it’s gonna be a wild ride!

Kiersey Clemons is about to make her long-awaited DCEU debut in The Flash movie, which is said to be inspired by DC’s Flashpoint. But while there’s a lot of potential with this project, some fans are already calling for Ezra Miller’s replacement due to his recent conduct.

Will The Flash become the most important DC movie, or will it end up like Justice League’s spin-offs Aquaman and The Flash, with uncertain futures? Let’s wait and see the upcoming DC movies!

3. Blue Beetle

What’s even more exciting is that Blue Beetle will be joining the DCEU – so no need to worry, it’s not just an HBO Max exclusive. That’s right; this DC movie will be gracing the silver screen alongside Black Adam and other new upcoming DC movies. So if you’re not too familiar with the Blue Beetle character, now’s the time to get acquainted!

It’s official, Xolo Maridueña of “Cobra Kai” fame is the one and only Blue Beetle! Filming wrapped up in mid-2022, so get ready for an action-packed 2023 with this DC flick. We know that Raoul Trujillo of “Sicario” is set to play Carapax the Indestructible Man, one of Blue Beetle’s nemeses.

Meanwhile, Bruna Marquezine will be taking on the role of Penny, Jaime’s love interest. And lastly, the amazing Susan Sarandon is joining the cast as Victoria Kord, the main villain of the movie. It’s sure to be an epic showdown!

4. Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom

We can hardly contain our excitement for the highly anticipated sequel to the DC upcoming movies like Aquaman – ‘Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom’! James Wan returns as director, with Jason Momoa reprising his role of Arthur Curry aka Aquaman.

Joining him are Mera (Amber Heard), Orm (Patrick Wilson), Atlanna (Nicole Kidman), and Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). Thanks to the success of the first movie, Aquaman has raked in a whopping $1.14 billion at the worldwide box office, and the confirmed Aquaman 2 release date is set for December 25, 2023.

This sequel has us all wondering what mysteries of the underwater city Necrus will be revealed. We can’t wait to find out! Sadly, Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom‘s release date is pushed from March 2023. And it’s not happening for the first time. Previously, Aquaman 2 has been pushed several times and is now set for a 25th December 2023 release date.

Apparently, the VFX team wanted extra time to make the post-production as perfect as possible, and the competition from Disney’s Avatar: The Way of Water may have also played a role. Needless to say, fans were not thrilled with the news, considering this isn’t the first delay they’ve had to endure.

To make matters worse, Aquaman 2’s issues also caused delays to Shazam 2, moving it to the DC movies 2023 schedule (March slot).
