Thanks to Paramount+’s eagerly anticipated reboot, iCarly is back on television with two seasons already released. The core cast of the original series, which aired from 2007 to 2012, parted ways after the show’s conclusion. For the iCarly reboot, which was released after almost ten years, Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress, and Jerry Trainor have all come together. However, Jennette McCurdy did not make an appearance.

Carly Shay played by Miranda Cosgrove

The 29-year-old Miranda Cosgrove made her acting debut as Summer Hathaway in Jack Black’s School of Rock. She later went on to portray Megan Parker throughout the Drake & Josh television series on Nickelodeon from 2004 to 2007. As Carly Shay, a teen host of her very own web program, Cosgrove portrays the main lead in Nickelodeon’s iCarly.
She later performed Margo’s voice in the films Despicable Me, Despicable Me 2, and Despicable Me 3. Additionally, she appeared in the Austin Butler-starring film The Intruders as well as the NBC TV series Crowded. The stunning brunette also took some time off and managed to attain a degree from the University of Southern California.
She has been the host of the CBS series Mission Unstoppable with Miranda Cosgrove since 2019. In 2020 she was nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards. She reprised the role of Carly in 2021 in the iCarly reboot series. The series received mixed reviews from critics and viewers. Sam Puckett played by Jennette McCurdy

She continued to play Sam in the offshoot series Sam & Cat co-star Ariana Grande which ran from 2013 to 2014. She then appeared in the films Little B***hes, Pet, and Bling after that. Additionally, she appeared in numerous TV shows, such as Adam and Wiley’s Lost Weekend and Netflix’s Between. Furthermore, she starred in, wrote, and produced a web series called What’s Next For Sarah. In 2017, McCurdy officially bid adieu to acting. Moreover, in 2018, with the short film Kenny, McCurdy marked her directorial debut.
She started hosting “I’m Glad My Mom Died,” a tragicomic one-woman performance, in Los Angeles in 2020. She discusses her terrible experiences with previous jobs, especially when she portrayed Sam on “iCarly,” in her podcast “Empty Inside,” which she hosts. McCurdy claimed that Cosgrove requested her to join the “iCarly” reboot on Paramount+. However, McCurdy declined as she wanted to put her mental health first and not enter that world again. Freddie Benson played by Nathan Kress
Since he was four years old, Nathan Kress has been acting. He lent his voice to a character in “Shuriken School”, an animated tv series and he performed a sketch on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”. Additionally, Kress appeared in a few cameo appearances on television shows like “Without a Trace” on CBS and “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody” on Disney Channel. Nathan Kress and Miranda Cosgrove appeared in an episode of the show “Drake & Josh” in February 2006, garnering the interest of the show’s creator and executive producer, Dan Schneider. Kress played the primary character of Freddie Benson in the television series iCarly that Schneider later created. In a “Sam and Cat” episode that aired after “iCarly” finished, Kress played Freddie Benson once again, reprising his role.
Alongside this, he continued his acting career in the movies, making several appearances, including in “Into the Storm,” which turned out to be a catastrophic movie. He has provided his voice for several “Star Wars” projects as well. Kress wed London Elise Moore, his fellow cast member from Into the Storm, in November 2015. The duo announced the birth of their firstborn daughter in December 2017. Additionally, Moore delivered their second daughter in March 2021. Additionally, he has previously made appearances on a number of popular TV shows from the early 2000s. Jerry Trainor received multiple Kid’s Choice Awards for his work on iCarly, and he later played the same character in Sam & Kat as well. He also starred alongside Jennette McCurdy in the 2011 Nickelodeon TV movie “Best Player”.
Following the completion of “iCarly”, Trainor remained to work for Nickelodeon as the star of “Wendell and Vinnie” as well as a voice actor for “T.U.F.F. Puppy.” Trainor most recently had an appearance on “No Good Nick” on Netflix and “Bunk’d” on Disney Channel. Additionally, Jerry Trainor also appeared in episodes of Law & Order: True Crime and 2 Broke Girls. Gibby played by Noah Munck

Noah Munck’s only prior acting experience before iCarly was appearing as a guest star on a few TV programs, such as “Wizards of Wavery Place” on the Disney Channel. In 2012, Nickelodeon approved a spin-off program starring Munck as Gibby, according to Entertainment Weekly. IMDb reports that although the pilot episode of the series was filmed, it was never made available to the general audience.
