The D’Amelio Show called out by paparazzi for villainous portrayal

Published by

It has been a total of three days since The D’Amelio Show started streaming on Hulu. It has created a lot of buzz and controversy in just three days. According to Pap Galore, a paparazzi channel, the show’s makers portray him as the villain. Later, he extended his apologies to the D’Amelio family.

After becoming the most followed TikToker, Charli D’Amelio has made her TV debut

Although she is starring in the reality show with her family, the focus is mostly on her overnight success. At the same time, The D’Amelio Show also explores her sister, Dixie’s music career. From Connecticut to Los Angeles, the family has made this transition in a short period of time. Despite their claim that they’re just like ordinary people, the D’Amelio family is anything but. The D’Amelio Show focuses on the sisters’ daily routine, the many projects and endorsements they’re part of and their family life. Some also believe that they might be the next Kardashian family. However, I highly doubt that.

During the first episode of The D’Amelio Show, the sisters got emotional

In the first episode of The D’Amelio Show, the sisters break down over the harsh treatment they receive. According to them, the hate they get online and the paparazzi following them all the time complicate their lives. During the episode, Dixie described her emotions and said:

“All the hate makes me feel like I don’t deserve anything. I’m trying to do everything I can to better myself, and it just gets worse. They break up every single thing I do and make it a negative thing.”

Similarly, Charli expressed her frustration and said it is difficult for her to go out and walk around.

The episode did not sit well with Pap Galore, a paparazzi channel

Pap Galore took to social media to express his anger. In a series of Instagram stories, he called out the family and the makers of The D’Amelio Show. According to him, the paparazzi’s portrayal is incorrect, and he is made out to look like a villain. He wrote:

F**k the D’Amelio show, that’s all I have to say. F**k that fake being nice sh*t when you see me in person. I can always tell it was never genuine. I wish I could say everything I wanted to say on here. Don’t use my photos without tagging me or I will sue you. My lawyer don’t play any games.

However, he ended up apologizing to the D’Amelio family and deactivated his Twitter account

Shortly after, he made a U-turn and apologized. According to him, it was about the makers of The D’Amelio Show. He wrote:

I would like to apologize to the D’Amelios for some of the comments that I made earlier today. I woke up this morning frustrated because everyone was sending me videos about Charli having a mental breakdown from the show and me being partly the cause of it.

Furthermore, he added:

I overreacted because it looked like the show was trying to portray me as the bad guy causing her to have mental breakdowns when that’s the last thing I would want to do. I’ve been always nice to the family and tried to respect their privacy as much as I could even though I know that may sound like an oxymoron coming from a paparazzi.

Moreover, he mentioned that he’s even friends with some of the celebrities he takes pictures and videos of and that mental health is a subject that’s also discussed:

I’ve created a lot of work relationships with a lot of celebrities to the point where I’m actually friends with them, and I’ve had many conversations with them about mental health. To a point where I never shoot some of them because I understand the anxiety and mental health problems it can cause sometimes.

He ended the note by saying that the show’s producers didn’t show the side of him that he agreed on. And that he would like to move on from the incident because he knows the D’amelios have always been “kind and nice” to him.

So far, no one from The D’Amelio Show or the family has responded. It is possible that Pap Galore thought of
