Tekashi 6ix9ine Is Being Sued Over Fraud For $5.3 Million

Published by

The weekend has not fared well for the young rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has he is getting sued for $5.3 million. Promoter Benhur Tesfalidet and Anton Alexander are accusing the controversial rapper of defamation, fraud, and breach of contract. As per what Metro UK is reporting, the rapper, who recently got released early from jail, was set to perform at a concert but canceled his appearance. Instead, he went to another event to perform. This happened back in October 2018 when he performed in New Jersey at Power 105.1’s Powerhouse concert.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Getting Sued Over Committing A Fraud?

The news details that the promoters Tesfalidet and Alexander were expecting Tekashi 6ix9ine to perform in Washington DC’s Echostage Club. However, the rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, canceled the gig at the very last minute and went to the other venue.

The new further adds that Tekashi had already received around $58,000 in advance fee for his concert in DC. On the other hand, Hernandez claims that he never received such payment. Next, the lawsuit adds that Tekashi 6ix9ine is also getting sued for defamatory remarks on the plaintiff on social media. The promoters originally filed a lawsuit back in 2018 but withdrew it six months later.

Then again, the news about getting sued doesn’t seem to bother Tekashi 6ix9ine much anyways. Another news report that Nicki Minaj team up for The Bail Project will see the production of the song go directly to the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement.

The rappers have teamed up on the Trollz track and will use it to help the cause. Minaj even posted a portion of the proceeds that will go towards The Bail Project. She said it provides free bail assistance to low-income individuals.

“The fund provides free bail assistance to low-income individuals who can’t afford to pay bail while awaiting their trial. We want to protect and support the thousands of brave people working on the front lines of social justice, using their voices to demand AN END to the targeting and killing of Black Americans by the police.”
