For Millennials. By Millennials.
Singer and songwriter Taylor Swift cares about how her fans are doing during the coronavirus lockdown. Businesses are closed, Hollywood has shut down, and there is little movement. With so little activity, the economy is surely taking a hit and companies are making a run for it to retain their profit by offloading staff. As discouraging as this may sound, it is a fact in many parts of the US and worldwide. Swifties, on the other hand, might have something to look forward to, especially for this Nashville record store.
Taylor Swift Giving Away $3000 As Donations
Taylor Swift is giving away financial aid to her fans or anyone else in need of some cash. The COVID-19 pandemic has left many out of work due to business shutdowns. With no other means of earning, some of these people ranted on social media to talk about what happened. Incredibly, Swift was listening to them and decided she should help as much as she can.
We have already covered how she gave away up to $ 3000 to three people in different parts of the world. Attaching a personalized note with her donation, she told one person:
“You’ve always been there for me. I want to be there for you right now. I hope this helps. Love, Taylor”
It seems like she is not stopping there. Taylor Swift went on to save a Nashville record Store called Grimey’s, in her hometown. This record store was in dire need of paying for employees and was on brink of shutting down. The Blank Space singer not only paid the salaries of the store’s employees but also covered three months’ worth of their healthcare.
Of course, the store owner was not expecting this at all when it happened. Co-owner Doyle Davis admitted,
“We were very surprised, and I would have to say amazed, that Taylor Swift reached out to us through her publicist to offer some relief during the COVID-19 pandemic,”
Davis admitted that he did not expect his store to be Taylor Swift’s radar. He was grateful that she stepped up to help a community that recently survived tornadoes.
