Steve Carell And John Krasinski Reminisce Over The Office

Published by

It’s been 7 years since The Office ended, but the fans can never forget it. Plus, it’s even more true with everyone under quarantine right now. Therefore, Steve Carell and John Krasinski decided for a little chat on YouTube on our favorite show. In it, they reminisce about some of their favorite moments from The Office and a reunion too! Let’s take a look!

Carell and Krasinski get together on YouTube

Steve Carell and John Krasinski got together on Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey’s YouTube Channel, The Office Ladies. On that channel, Jenna and Angela mostly upload podcasts on every episode of The Office. However, Krasinski decided to bring on Steve Carell to discuss ‘Some Good News’, especially at a time when the world badly needs it.

This was the perfect occasion, as it’s the 15th anniversary of the show after the pilot aired in 2005. Moreover, the due got to discuss some of their most memorable moments from The Office. After all, quarantine is the perfect time to dive down memory lane in nostalgia, right?

1. Michael’s Dinner Party:

NBC

This is definitely one of the most iconic episodes of The Office. The YouTuber Captain Midnight said it was a ‘Cringe Perfection‘. However, Carell and Krasinski were recalling some of the bloopers of the show. They talked about how they all burst into laughter when Michael folds back the Micro flatscreen TV to the wall.

2. Michael becomes Santa:

NBC

The scene where Michael Scott lets Kevin sit on his lap sent Jim Halpert to tears. There was supposed to be a traditional Office Jim Button scene, but it couldn’t happen. As John Krasinski said:

I was never there. I was physically never there. Because, by the time they got to swish pan to me, I was out. I was either on the floor or I left the room.

That is how much the cast of The Office enjoyed the show. And there’s more!

3. Jim mimics Dwight:

NBC

The Office probably takes the cake for the most iconic impersonation of all time. Everyone watching probably fell on their floors when Jim dressed and acted as Dwight Schrute. Steve Carell said:

When you came in as Dwight that day it was crazy, watching Jim do Dwight. And you’re a very good impressionist in general.

Sadly, it wasn’t always cheerful over at the Office, especially when Michael Scott decided to quit.

4. Michael says Goodbye to Jim, in 17 takes:

NBC

Goodbye, Michael was an episode that left every fan of the show in tears. Seeing Michael Scott say goodbye to The Office was something no one wanted to see. And it was just the same for Jim Halpert. The two were literally in tears while shooting the scene. It was so difficult, that in almost 19 takes a single audible word couldn’t come out of their mouths.

An Office Reunion?

Of course, how could any interview end without a mention of an on-demand Office reunion episode? With the current Coronavirus pandemic out on the loose, it might even put the cast in an existential crisis to do it. However, John Krasinski had a different take:

I know everybody’s talking about a reunion. Hopefully one day we just get to reunite as people and just all get to say ‘Hi’.

That’s a very diplomatic answer, but I guess it still doesn’t close any doors for an Office reunion happening, right? Maybe, even an Office Coronavirus special as the fans discussed? Let’s stay hopeful. For all those who want to see the interview themselves, here’s the link!
