The ‘Modern Family’ star, Sarah Hyland, was definitely blown away when she saw Joaquin Phoenix at GGA 2020. She even bowed down to the star who won the Best Actor Award for his performance in ‘Joker’. The pictures may be a bit awkward, but we are surely going to talk about it.

Joaquin Phoenix and Sarah Hyland, both the stars attended the event. But when the Hyland saw Joker posing for the cameras, she was star-struck instantly. She first gasped and turned to cameras with a look of utter disbelief. She looked at the Joker and made sure it was the actual him standing next to him. The Best Male actor surely did not see this coming and after a few seconds of awkward gazes, he decided to play along. When Sarah bowed down to Phoenix, he turned towards her to return the gesture.

The encounter might be awkward. Cringe-worthy even, but that is not the end of it. After rising, Sarah Hyland held her head in a prayer position, as if hypnotized in awe of Joker’s talent.

It looks like Hyland’s Sunday evening went really fantastic. E! Online reports that she partied away the evening in other events alongside her partner Wells Adams. While the Modern Family star chose to wear a light pink gown, Adams decided to wear a chic and tux with a shiny grey jacket.

On the other hand, Joaquin Phoenix also had a pretty epic weekend. The superstar celebrated his win for the Best Actor award at Golden Globes 2020 with his girlfriend Rooney Mara. In the sweetest of ways, he confessed his love for her, telling her “I love you” on stage while he seemed to be in tears. The star is no stranger to this award as he won it back in 2006 for his performance in ‘Walk the Line’.
