Paul Wesley directs episodes of Vampire Diaries Spin-off Legacies!

The Legacies is the spin-off show to infamous CW series The Vampire Diaries and The Originals. We love both the parent shows with all our hearts. And why should we not? The hunks on the shows just make it so irresistible. Well, resisting does not really work on vampires anyway. So, The Legacies has the very essence of the shows it is made after. Focusing on the lives of the next generations after our favorite vampires and hybrid found peace leaving us in pieces. The show cast some of the hottest of Hollywood such as Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Joseph Morgan, and Daniel Gillies.

As most of you may know, after the parent shows ended, all of the cast turned to different projects. Paul Wesley himself took upon directing. Although, he started his career as a director in The Vampire Diaries season 5. Last year, he returned to Mystic Falls amidst the shooting of Legacies to direct an episode alongside old colleague Julie Plec.

How Paul Wesley Directed an episode of Legacies

So, as Paul Wesley went to direct the episode titled ‘The Boy Who Still Had a Lot of Good To Do!’, Julie Plec talked to TV Guide.

It was nice to have him, and the writer was laughing because it was an episode that had a lot of vamp feeding. And she said that Paul was able to express the tricks of the trade to the actors on how to do a proper vamp feed very well after years and years of experience.

Paul Wesley himself was a Vampire on the Vampire Diaries for about 8 years. I think the man would be considered quite the expert by now on the creatures of the night. Legacies itself focuses on monsters rather than vampires.

The show casts Paul Wesley’s old pal Matt Davis (Alaric Saltzman) and other cast members like Zach Roerig alongside the new ones. The episode in specific is about M.G. (Quincy Fouse) taking a trip to go meet his parents and talk to them about who he is. Well, bad news all the way.

However, I would say that this one episode makes you feel connected to The Vampire Diaries and The Originals more than any other in the show. Not because of the fact that Paul Wesley directed it but because there is a lot of the Vampire action we love the series for.
