This late 1960s Los Angeles classic -drama has all captains of industry in the cast including Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie. It is, in fact, the ninth movie from the Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrity Quentin Tarantino.
Obviously, the movie has gained a Golden Globe nomination and is regarded as the viewers’ choice On Cable on Demand, VOD, disc and at Redbox. The movie showcased Hollywood back in 1969. It is the story of an actor and his stunt double. Both of them explored the dynamism in the film industry. This saga portrays multiple superstars who reigned and survived during “Hollywood’s golden age”
Amazon Prime, the channel that saved The popular series The Expanse, has recently announced the streaming of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood via its Twitter post
None other than our favorite DiCaprio plays Rick Dalton a 1950s actor whose stardom is gradually staling. It also features Brad Pitt as Rick’s stunt double, Cliff Booth. The guy who is everything to Rick, his buddy, his driver, and somehow his vitality.
The controversial movie redirected the audience towards the bickering incident of the 1969 Charles Manson family murders, which took the lives of five people, including actress Sharon Tate- wife of director Rick Dalton.
Besides, the Manson family and Sharon Tate, another celebrity targetted in the movie is the legendary star, Bruce Lee. Fans, however, are not happy with Lee’s portrayal.
In fact, Lee’s daughter, Shannon, protested for his father’s image
“[Lee] was continuously marginalized and treated like kind of a nuisance of a human being by white Hollywood, which is how he’s treated in the film by [Tarantino].
Though Quentin Tarantino became the most technically genius filmmaker, his concepts are full of his aloof traits. It harshly pinpoints the audience for backing up violence. Hence, his presentations exhibited his indifference.
In lieu, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood telecasted three major controversies. First, it addresses Tarantino’s approach towards women’s conduct, while the other maltreated the character of Asian American star Bruce Lee. The third, however, is his self-praising attitude and careless handling of historic events.
As a matter of fact, Tarantino designs ideas via his heterosexual white guy philosophies. His choice of topics to portray in his films often leads to major controversies.
Whatever be the case, Once Upon a Time In Hollywood became a mega-hit. The display received positive responses. It is a show of matchless performances by renowned actors. The film showcased exotic direction, screenplay, cinematography and production values.
