Justin Bieber sat down with Ellen, doing his first-ever interview in over three years, to celebrate Ellen’s birthday. He also talked about his new hit single “Yummy” from his upcoming album, “Changes” and it is safe to say the interview had an abundance of awkward moments.

This was the 25-year-old singer’s 27th time on the show or doing a segment with the show which is why fans noticed an anxious and nervous Justin Bieber on the couch. It was a change from the bubbly and confident Justin fans were used to watching. The comments on the interview clip were filled with concerned fans hoping he was doing okay.
As a special gift for Ellen, Justin performed an acoustic rendition of “Yummy”. When asked what he was thinking about when he wrote the song, Justin replied with an awkward nod, “my sex life,” causing the audience to break out in fits of laughter.
Justin Bieber also discussed in the interview how being in the spotlight from a very young age affected his physical and mental health. Ellen asked him about his new docu-series “Seasons”. In which Justin had been very open about struggling with Lyme Disease and his mental wellbeing.
Fans speculated the reason for his discomfort could be Selena Gomez being on the same couch 3 days ago. However, this theory was quickly thrown out the window when Justin started gushing about his wife, Hailey Bieber. Calling her “precious” and convincing the fans Selena was long forgotten.

Justin revealed he felt nervous to commit to now-wife Hailey before proposing. Not because he was scared she’ll say no, but because, he wasn’t sure if he would be able to remain faithful to her.
“I was extremely nervous when I proposed to her,” he started. “I felt like in the past, we talked about you know, me asking the question. And I felt like she would say ‘yes’. So I wasn’t really nervous about the saying yes, but I think I was more nervous about, ‘Am I gonna make this commitment?’ Am I able to make this commitment as a man and be able to honor what I say?”
He went on to add it was a big deal for him to make that commitment and promise to love someone for better or for worse and be faithful. But then he realized it was what he always wanted so he followed through with his decision.
All in all, it was refreshing to see Justin Bieber back from his break. We hope he recovers and feels better real soon!
