Well, Ms. Marvel made its MCU TV debut a couple of months ago, starring the charming Iman Vellani in its titular role. Despite numerous mixed reviews, the show still managed to make the MCU’s Kevin Feige happy with its numbers. Since Ms. Marvel has been greenlit for season 2!

Disney+, the official streaming service of Ms. Marvel, has reportedly confirmed another season. The show starred Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, a superhero-obsessed Pakistani-American teen girl who ends up living in her best fantasy. She uncovers superhero powers by wearing an ancient bangle from her great-grandmother. But gaining powers isn’t as magical as she thought.
In the first season, we see Kamala navigate her new powers with the help of her best friend Bruno (Matt Lintz) and a coming-of-age story where she finds a balance between staying true to her origins and exploring the superhero’s adventurous world.
Kamala definitely faces a lot of hiccups along the way and has to defend herself against the Department of Damage Control and the Clandestine.
The show was a success for the general public due to its unique comedy style, accurate cultural representation (which I personally can vouch for being from Pakistan myself), clever cinematography, and brilliant acting by a multicultural cast.
Now, Iman Vellani will reprise her role of Kamala Khan in The Marvels alongside Brie Larson. Larson herself also makes a brief appearance in the very last episode. Ms. Marvel and Captain Marvel seem to have accidentally switched places. And we’ll see the answer to that in The Marvels.
Daniel Richtman from the Hollywood Scooper has some great news for Ms. Marvel fans. He reports that Disney+ has reportedly confirmed another season. This comes after fans were shown the first footage of The Marvels at the D23 Expo!
There has been no official confirmation or news by either Disney or the MCU, but no one denies the reports. It seems like we’ll get to hear the news soon! The head writer for the show, Sana Amanat, has shared that Miss Marvel’s storyline was designed to be a limited series where the titular character can easily “go off and do other things.”
It should also be noted that director Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and cinematographer Jules O’Loughlin both have not heard any news of Miss Marvel season 2. Perhaps they’re not in on it yet? Well, we can only hope!
The MCU has been working on many projects and regularly churning out new movies and TV shows. So, it may not be that far-fetched to expect another season. The fans of Ms. Marvel would certainly not complain.
Iman Vellani herself is pretty excited to explore her role as Kamala Khan more in the MCU, and we are just as excited because she definitely did the role justice.
While we wait for another season, you can catch her on The Marvels, which will hit the theaters on July 28, 2023.
