Melon Music Awards Reveal 40 nominees for the Top 10 award
Every year Melon Music Award awards 10 awards to 10 artists. The award is to commemorate the artist’s talent and success in the past year. For this year, only artists who released music between December 1, 2018, and November 13, 2019, were eligible. The nominees include 29 artists chosen by weekly Melon Popularity Award results (selected by weekly charts and votes) along with 11 artists who were additionally chosen by their download and streaming counts.
As mentioned above, only artists who released songs from December 2018 to November 2019, are going to be eligible. The nominees are selected on the basis of how well the artists did digitally through the time period. The final Top 10 will be determined 80 percent based on Melon download and streaming counts and 20 percent based on votes.
