The Jennifer’s Body actress, Megan Fox, recently made some comments about the former controversial president Donald Trump in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live. She called him a legend which led to many people being upset at her statements. Later on social media, Megan Fox clarified her statements and made it clear that she wasn’t giving her support to any one politician or political affiliation.

There was a UFC 264 match at Las Vegas and big names attended the event. Megan Fox revealed that she was in the same row as former POTUS, Donald Trump. Fox ended up calling Trump a “legend”, which led to an onslaught of hate and criticism coming her way from Democrats and anti-Trump folks.
“I was in a row with Bieber, and Trump was also in my row. He had, like, 30 Secret Service with him. He was a legend,” Megan added. That arena was very supportive of Trump when he came in. I was like, I don’t know how I feel about it, because if someone is a target, then I’m like, I could be harmed because I’m adjacent to where he is. So I was worried about my own safety, that’s all I was caring about. But yeah, I’ve never seen anything like that before. It was crazy.”
Megan Fox went on to elaborate that she was actually more worried about her safety because Trump was such a huge figure.
But her comments painted her out to be a Trump supporter. Even though that earned her praise from Trump supporters and other Republican followers, and the other side criticized her comments.
After such a controversial situation, the actress was compelled to address the issue. Megan Fox cleared up the issue and said that she didn’t think Donald Trump is a “legend”:
“I never said Donald Trump is a legend,” she continued. “I said he was a legend…in that arena (key part of the sentence). The arena was filled with UFC fight fans. Many of them clearly Republican, based off the insane crowd reaction he received walking into the T-Mobile venue. That was an observable fact. Not my opinion.”
Fox made it absolutely clear that she was not taking anyone’s side, and was not supporting Donald Trump. Moreover, she added that she isn’t politically aligning with anyone.
While she made it clear she doesn’t support Donald Trump, she didn’t criticize him either. Something that many mainstream liberal celebrities have openly done such as Kathy Griffin, Sophia Bush, Halsey, Mark Ruffalo, Chelsea Handler, and more.
But she made it a point to say that anyone criticizing her on her Trump comment was due to “uneducated, mid-evil, pitchfork carrying, burn a witch at the stake mentality”.
The Trump presidency definitely led to a lot of polarizing in the United States of America with people being passionate about politics on both sides. It appears the country will take a while before things calm down in the political atmosphere and celebrities aren’t crucified for their political affiliations.
