With the on-going pandemic, protests, and elections this year, America seems to be in chaos.

After four cops murdered an innocent black man in front of people, Americans have been raged. Since then, protests, riots, and looting have been going on. While there has been much noise about racism and police brutality against the black community, it seems that people will not back down this time. During this hard time, Donald Trump has threatened to use military forces on the protesters. On the other hand, celebrities like Kevin Hart, Lebron James, and others are teaming up to take serious steps to combat racism.

Recently, Kevin Hart, Lebron James, and many others have formed a voting rights group.

Since George Floyd’s murder, more and more conversations about the Black Lives Matter movement have started. It seems that this time people genuinely want to listen and learn. For once, it is not just a hashtag or a Facebook status. Similarly, celebrities like Kevin Hart are joining hands with others to form a group called More Than a Vote. This organization will focus on protecting the voting rights of African-Americans. Initially, Lebron James and Maverick Carter will provide the funding. According to James, one of the objectives of More Than a Vote is to get the black community to register and then go out to vote in November. He also said:

“Yes, we want you to go out and vote, but we’re also going to give you the tutorial. We’re going to give you the background of how to vote and what they’re trying to do, the other side, to stop you from voting.”
