Jisoo of Blackpink Returns as an Actress in Netflix Korean Drama

We’ve got news for all the Jisoo and Blackpink stans out there. Jisoo is going to appear in a Korean drama already streaming on Netflix. Though, this is not the first time for the singer to be appearing in a drama, but this is her first official role.

Jisoo to Appear in Arthdal Chronicles

Arthdal Chronicles is a tvN Korean series Arthdal Chronicles which is also streaming on Netflix. Jisoo’s role in the drama is still unknown. All that has been confirmed is that she’s appearing in the drama and not as a cameo. The details of her role have been kept secret for security measures. A source from Arthdal Chronicles said,

It is true that Jisoo will be appearing in ‘Arthdal Chronicles.’ We ask that you learn about her role through the drama.

Whatever her role might be, we know she’s going to slay.

What is Arthdal Chronicles About?

The Korean drama is set in the mythical land of Arth. It is a tale about of love, ambition, and tragedy, with four characters whose destinies are intertwined fighting for what they want. Song Joong Ki, Jang Dong Gun , Kim Ji Won and Kim Ok Bin play the lead roles. The drama is currently airing on tvN and is also streaming on Netflix. The first 4 episodes are already out.

Arthdal Chronicles will have 3 seasons. Don’t worry, you won’t have to wait as the first 2 seasons will air back to back while the 3rd season will air in September.

Also making an appearance in the drama is another Kpop idol Nickhun from the JYP boy group 2pm.

Jisoo’s Other Acting Projects

The only other drama the singer has appeared in is the 2015 Korean drama The Producers. Other than that she has appeared in music video’s for the groups that are her labelmates.

Jisoo is a member of the girl group Blackpink under YG Entertainment. Blackpink’s newest song Kill This Love is out and the group is currently on tour. The girl group is also the first Korean act to have performed in Coachella.
