Imagine Dragons have finally released their fourth and latest studio album, Origins, which is why we love the band. Joel Little, Mattman & Robin, and John Hill have all worked in a coalition to co-produce this album. Dan Reynolds has written all the origins tracks with his band members’ assistance. Origins come as a sister album to the band’s previously released chart-topper Evolve.
Evolve peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and became the first album this decade to generate at least three No. 1s on Billboard’s Alternative Songs airplay chart. Kidinakorner, Polydor Records, and Interscope Records released origins this Friday, 9th November.
The album features 15 songs from the band and is available to stream on Spotify. The album contains songs composed explicitly for the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios movie Ralph Breaks The Internet. “Natural,” “Bad Liar,” and “Zero” from the album were already out as promotional music videos for the forthcoming movie. A few songs are also available on the band’s official YouTube channel. But if you are looking for where to stream or listen to the album, Spotify is a much more fulfilling option. You can also pre-order the digital version, deluxe digital, and cassette version on the official Imagine Dragons website.
Dan Reynolds is the real star behind this masterpiece of an album. He has beefed up his pop writing muscles for Origins. Moreover, with a laser focus on his primary young audience, the songwriter and Imagine Dragons Frontman has carved a niche with his profound portrayal of emotions in his tracks. “Zero,” for instance, addresses deep-rooted feelings of inadequacy, imposter syndrome, and anxiety. In the song, Dan Reynolds sings, “Let me show you what it’s like never to feel/ Like I’m good enough for anything real.” The lyrics of all his significant tracks serve as an obvious ode to youngsters who rise to conquer their desired fortes despite challenges.
Imagine Dragons set the release date of July 17th, 2018, for “Natural” (Dan Reynolds) as the lead single for Origins. ESPN chose it as the anthem of the 2018 College Football season to promote the single. The song has since then peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. The release date for the actual music video starring the band members was 24th August 2018. Origins is ideally a display of musical ambition. It pushes the messages that matter onto the charts, hence if you follow our where to listen to links, you will be exposed to a refreshing experience.
