After it was revealed to the general public that Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin (now Hailey Bieber) would be getting married, fans were a little skeptical. The timeline of it seemed suspicious to everyone since Justin had only recently been with ex Selena Gomez. The quick engagement and then wedding led fans to believe Hailey and Justin’s romance had been ongoing since long before.
But now Hailey Bieber has took it upon herself to clear up the timeline of their relationship. She clarified the details during a remote appearance on Ashley Graham’s Pretty Big Deal podcast.
As fans might remember, Justin’s personal life was pretty much a whirlwind in 2018. He spent the beginning of the year in an on-again-off-again relationship with former girlfriend, Selena Gomez. Yet the year ended with him being engaged to Hailey Bieber.
The model had said of the situation back then that although people did not know, the two had been talking for a while before they decided to get back together.
“Contrary to popular belief,” Hailey had said, “he had been single for a while and I had been single and we were kind of just trying to figure life out.”
However, Hailey admitted that their whirlwind romance transitioned from the “talking” stage to “husband and wife” pretty quickly.
“Everything happened really fast, I think everybody knows that,” Hailey told Ashley Graham. “Everybody was kind of, like, ‘Hey, did you get married?'”

How The Justin-Hailey Romance Unfolded
Old lovers Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez reunited in late 2017. However, their rekindled relationship soon hit the breaks by mid-2018.
“They were having a lot of little disagreements recently. And one fight in particular blew up and caused them to decide to ‘break up.’ However, they’ve been in contact the entire time. And their feelings for each other have not changed,” a source explained in March 2018. “They will absolutely get back together and they are not over. But they both need some time away from each other.”
However, by May, Justin was seen out with Baskin Champion. It was by that time that sources confirmed Selena had “completely moved on” from the Baby singer. She was also not interested in getting back together with him.
This was the same month when then Hailey Baldwin had walked the red carpet with Shawn Mendes. Of course, this sparked speculation of a possible romance. However, this did not last long as Shawn clarified that they were really good friends in an interview with W magazine.
And the next month, Hailey was seen with Justin and their PDA started making headlines. But before the fans could grasp on the fact that Justin was now dating Hailey, the two got engaged in the Bahamas in July. And well, the rest is history. The couple just celebrated their second wedding anniversary this year.
