Doja Cat got fooled by a person pretending to be Nicki Minaj on Twitter

Recently, Doja Cat had to face an interesting situation. On Twitter, someone posed as Nicki Minaj and tweeted to the singer. However, the Kiss Me More singer did not realize it was a fake account, not Minaj herself. Later, she did realize it and realized her mistake. At the moment, the Say So singer is recovering from COVID-19. A few months ago, the two singers were about to collaborate. However, Minaj turned the offer down, claiming she did not like the track.

In September, Nicki Minaj rejected the offer to be featured in the Doja Cat song.

Although the two have already collaborated on a song, Minaj recently turned down the offer to be featured on the Doja Cat track. In 2019, Minaj and Doja Cat collaborated on Say So, making it one of the most popular tracks of that year. However, when she was again offered to be on a track, Get Into It (Yuh), Nicki Minaj claimed she rejected it. According to her:

“It’s just that there were, like, middle people involved in that situation … If it was like how me and BIA were direct and we dealt with each other directly, it would be different.”

At the same time, Minaj claimed that Doja Cat was not involved and only her team was in contact with her. Even though she told them to send another track, they did not respond. Furthermore, Nicki Minaj said:

“But I didn’t love that song because I didn’t think I could bring anything to it. So I asked them to send me something else. I think that was the second song they sent me, I asked them to send me something else and they didn’t send me anything else.”

Recently, a fake account trolled Doja Cat, and she fell for it

On Twitter, a fan account of Nicki Minaj named Minaj Fantasy trolled Doja Cat. Unfortunately, she fell for the trick and responded to a tweet where she was tagged. When the fake account asked her if she was ready, Doja Cat responded:

yes God yes yes

However, she realized that it was a fake account shortly after and said:

Bi**h I thought this was nicki, don’t you ever pull that s**t again. I though the circle was the verified check. u is evil

Although she has deleted the tweet now, it instantly went viral, and people had a field day

Instantly, people started speculating as to what it all meant. While some took it as a funny mistake, others analyzed the tweets. According to some people, it might mean that Nicki Minaj and Doja Cat are collaborating soon. According to one Twitter user:

One Twitter user criticized Pop Crave for this Doja Cat news and said:

Why u say it in a nasty way… it was was lame they did that – but also a funny moment. And it happened right after an amazing interaction between Nicki & Doja on Tik Tok. Why didn’t u post about that? Always tryna be shady

Needless to say, people are speculating about another collaboration and getting excited.

So far, nothing has been confirmed. However, we would love to see the queens of rap together again.
