Daniel Radcliffe Congratulates Rupert Grint On New Baby

It would make Potterheads happy to know Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint are still the best of friends. The iconic duo who play Harry Potter and best friend, Ron Weasely is still as close as ever. Even after 9 years of the last move in the HP franchise.

As most of you know, Rupert Grint welcomed a baby girl earlier this month with a long time girlfriend, Georgia Groome. Before becoming parents, the couple had been romantically linked for almost a decade. They even sparked marriage rumors when the Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging actress was seen sporting a gold band on her ring finger.

And as it turns out, Daniel had the sweetest congratulatory message for his former on-screen best friend. During a virtual visit to Watch What Happens Live, Daniel was asked about Rupert and Georgia becoming new parents. Daniel revealed he had reached out to them to congratulate them on their sweet bundle of joy.

“Yes, I texted him the other day. I’m so happy for him. It’s very, very cool,” he said. “It’s also, like, super weird for me to think that we are all at the age where we are having children but we definitely are.”

The host, Andy Cohen agreed with Daniel saying, “It’s weird for all of us.”

Daniel agreed and recalled how his age had always been a matter of concern for people. “I remember when I turned 30, a lot of people in my life were really depressed to find that that had happened,” he said.

The British actor also went on to reveal it was hard for him to deal with the magical aspect of his life. He used alcohol to cope up with the Harry Potter fame. However, despite facing several challenges, Daniel Radcliffe doesn’t have any regrets about being The Boy Who Lived.
