The upcoming adaptation of the classic film Cinderella from writer-director Kay Cannon finally landed itself a release date from Sony Pictures. The movie starring Grammy-nominated singer Camila Cabello will be out in February 2021. Not just that, but Cinderella will mark Cabello’s acting debut. Apart from acting, Cabello will also assist in creating original music for the film.
What Do we Know About Upcoming ‘Cinderella‘?
Sony Pictures has announced that the latest adaptation of Cinderella starring Camila Cabello in the lead will be released on 5th February 2021. James Corden came up with the idea behind the movie. James Corden and Leo Pearlman will also produce the movie together with their Fulwell73 production company. Blockers director Kay Cannon will write and direct Cinderella.
Apart from acting, Cabello will also work on creating original music for the film. Cinderella is a musical comedy based on an ambitious young woman who dreams of great wonders.
They have not mentioned any details of the plot. However, we do know that this version of Cinderella follows the 2015’s live-action Disney update. That version starred Lily James as the princess, Bodyguard star Richard Madden as Prince Charming and Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother.
