Best Pedro Pascal Movies And Tv Shows

Published by

There is no denying Pedro Pascal’s extraordinary acting ability. Although the multi-talented star has appeared in both movies and television, he is best recognized for his work in the latter.

Let’s talk about some of the popular Pedro Pascal movies and Tv shows now. One of Pedro’s most popular and watched television programs of all time is Game of Thrones. In 1999, the actor made his television debut in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where he made a fleeting but memorable cameo.

Up until his breakthrough performance in Game of Thrones, the actor did several small roles in movies and television for more than ten years. Pascal’s career took off after he starred in HBO’s hit TV show Game of Thrones, and he’s since become one of the most sought-after names in the Hollywood Industry.

The actor loves to take on both heroic and villainous roles, which only demonstrates his incredible acting range. He’s also made a name for himself on the big screen, playing the supervillain Maxwell Lord in Wonder Woman 1984 and Javi Gutierrez in the action comedy The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

Surprisingly, Pascal is still best known for his TV roles, having starred or had recurring roles in 10 different shows.

Pedro Pascal Movies And Tv Shows

Game of Thrones

It’s understandable why Game of Thrones has enjoyed such success in countries all over the globe. Based on George R. R. Martin‘s A Song of Ice and Fire book series, the Emmy-winning fantasy drama series follows the struggles of various characters and royal houses as they contend for the Iron Throne that governs the Seven Kingdoms.

Prince Oberyn Martell, portrayed by Pascal, stands out as a notable character because of his impressive fighting prowess, intense sexual propensities, and explosive temper. Game of Thrones tops the list of Best Pedro Pascal Movies And TV shows, due to its high viewership.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle

Pedro Pascal is certainly no stranger to taking on dynamic roles! From the stern-faced, ruggedness of Joel in The Last of Us to the paternal armor-clad bounty hunter in The Mandalorian, Pascal takes on these duties like a boss.

But before that, he had a more villainous role in 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle. As Statesman agent Whiskey, Pascal brings an almost cowboy-like charm to the character, who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and show off his lasso skills in a cutthroat brawl.

Don’t be fooled by his American Patriot persona, because one wrong move and you’ll be tied up, flung, or sliced in half. It all starts with a bang! Nearly all Kingsman operations and personnel are destroyed, leaving Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and Merlin (Mark Strong) no choice but to turn to the Statesman, their American spy counterpart, for help.

The scene is set with a star-studded cast, including Channing Tatum in a cameo, Halle Berry in surveillance mode, and Jeff Bridges in a mostly alcoholic haze. The one constant is Pascal’s agent Whiskey, the only Statesman to pair up with Eggsy to prevent a new supervillain plot by Poppy (Julianne Moore) from leading to the deaths of millions.

And just when it looks like things can’t get any more complicated, Colin Firth’s character Harry, presumed dead, returns—talk about pressure. The Golden Circle sequel has it all! From a star-studded ensemble cast to a slew of characters with ulterior motives, this follow-up is overstuffed.

It’s like trying to fit two revolvers into one holster – a tricky juggling act, for sure. Poppy, the drug kingpin, is out to cause chaos by using her tainted drugs worldwide, resulting in a blue rash, erratic dancing, paralysis, and death. Everyone from addicts to first-time and recreational users is at risk.

But Poppy isn’t trying to start a genocide – she’s just trying to gain control over her cartel. Unfortunately, the U.S. President (Bruce Greenwood) has other ideas and is keen to use this as an opportunity to end the war on drugs.

Eggsy can’t take on Poppy alone, and while The Golden Circle may be overloaded with too much at stake, it ultimately does justice to Agent Whiskey.

Narcos

From playing DEA agent Javier Peña in the hit crime drama series Narcos to bounty hunter Din Djarin in the first live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian, Chilean-American actor Pedro Pascal has had an impressive couple of years!

His incredible range of roles has made him one of the most sought-after talents in Hollywood today.

Pascal’s outstanding filmography has already demonstrated that he is a gifted and exceptional actor. He hasn’t finished, though! Pascal will play Joel in the 2023 episode of HBO‘s The Last of Us, a post-apocalyptic drama based on a 2013 video game.

He portrays a smuggler who is charged with transporting Ellie, a teenager, across the US overrun with zombies. Alongside David Harbour, Pascal will appear in the HBO limited series My Dentist’s Murder Trial, which is based on actual events. Please check back for an announcement regarding the debut date.

The Mandalorian

Meet Din Djarin, the titular character of Pascal’s latest project – a part of the popular Star Wars universe! As a lone bounty hunter, Din travels space and encounters a young creature, Grogu. Rather than handing Grogu over to those who wish to do him harm, Din takes him under his wing and embarks on a chaotic, fun space adventure.

During this journey, their relationship slowly begins to grow, and Grogu captures our hearts as well as Dins. Follow their journey as you witness the power of friendship in an unforgettable space adventure.

Even though a helmet mostly conceals Pascal’s character throughout The Mandalorian series, Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder can bring him to life with just the tone of his voice.

When we finally get to see Din take off his helmet, it’s an incredibly powerful and emotional moment. We get the privilege of watching Din’s gradual development throughout the series, as he slowly opens up to Grogu. It’s truly one of the show’s highlights! Star Wars fans, rejoice! The Mandalorian got back on the screens for Season 3 in early 2023.

Pascal is on a roll! Not only was he set to return for Season 3 of The Mandalorian, but he’s also starring in the upcoming western romance Strange Way of Life, alongside Ethan Hawke. It’s set to premiere at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival – talk about exciting!

He’s also teaming up with Willem Dafoe in Tropico and David Harbour in My Dentist’s Murder Trial. Looks like Pascal is here to stay. It is one of the most popular TV shows in our list of best Pedro Pascal movies and tv shows.

Strange Way of Life

Silva last traveled across the desert on a horse to see his old buddy Sheriff Jake 25 years ago. The happy reunion was celebrated, but Jake disclosed the real reason for inviting Silva to come to visit the following morning.

This tale of friendship and devotion is depicted in the drama and western film Strange Way of Life, starring Pedro Pascal and Ethan Hawke. Unfortunately, you can’t stream, rent, or purchase the movie right now, but you can put it on your Want to See list to learn when it comes out.

Freaky Tales

The filmmakers behind the blockbuster Captain Marvel, Ryan Fleck, and Anna Boden, are back with a brand-new film, Freaky Tales. This story will transport us through real-life locations and historical events as well as some artistic flourishes.

It is loosely based on Fleck’s childhood experience in Oakland, California. Freaky Tales, which is set in the 1980s, follows four different characters whose tales are intertwined.

We can’t wait to see what Fleck and Boden have in store for us, even though specifics about these characters (played by Pascal, Mendelssohn, Ellis, and Champion) are still being kept under covers.

Pedro Pascal rose to fame for his portrayal of Oberyn Martell in the wildly popular HBO series Game of Thrones. After GOT, Freaky Tales is the most effective and popular movie in our list of best Pedro Pascal movies and TV shows

His success in the show opened up many doors, and he’s taken on projects that focus more on his characters, such as playing the titular protagonist in The Mandalorian. Recently, Pascal wrapped up work on the first season of HBO‘s upcoming drama The Last of Us, where he reunited with his former Game of Thrones co-star, Bella Ramsey.

Joel (Pedro Pascal) serves as Ellie’s bodyguard and defender. Ellie not only saved Joel’s life after he was stabbed at the University, but she also did so in a much deeper and more important manner.

Although he appears to prefer the small screen, Pascal has also made his mark in film, with credits including Wonder Woman 1984, We Can Be Heroes, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, and The Bubble.

The Emmy-winning actor Ben Mendelsohn is reuniting with his former collaborators, directors Anthony and Joe Russo, as a part of the cast of their upcoming film, Freaky Tales.

Mendelsohn is a household name, having starred in Netflix’s Bloodline and recently completing filming for the feature films Misanthrope and The Marsh King’s Daughter, both currently in post-production.

He also recently made an appearance in the blockbuster, Top Gun: Maverick, and is currently filming the upcoming Dave Franco rom-com, Somebody I Used to Know. Joining Mendelsohn in Freaky Tales is newcomer Champion, who will be making Hollywood debut as Jake Sully and Neytiri’s son in the highly anticipated Avatar: The Way of Water.

The film will be executive produced by eOne’s Jillian Share, Jen Gorton, and Chanel Vidal, and producers Jelani Johnson and Poppy Hanks from MACRO Film Studios. Joining them is famous Oakland hip-hop legend, Too $hort, and his manager David Weintraub, adding a local touch to the production.

The Great Wall

The Great Wall is about the current political scene. While it is action-packed and visually stunning, don’t look for any profound insights into immigration, the construction of walls, or the dread of strangers. None can be found here.

Let’s admit it: “The Great Wall“, the newest movie from Zhan You, is not very good. Despite producing “The House of Flying Daggers” and “Coming Home” with distinction, Yimou’s effort at a fantasy action movie is a failure.

The Great Wall” is simply repulsive from beginning to end, starting with Matt Damon’s peculiar accent that sounds like a Hollywood rendition of Native American and continuing with the overly dramatic action sequences. Sadly, “The Ridiculous Wall” would have made a better title for this film.

Damon is on a mission to find black powder in China during the Middle Ages. He is welcomed inside the heavily fortified wall by a group of Chinese warriors but soon realizes unspeakable dangers are lurking outside.

These are no normal enemies – they are the Tao Tei, giant hyena-like creatures that turn up every 60 years to wreak havoc and devour anyone who comes within reach. With the help of his wise-cracking Spanish sidekick Damon (Pedro Pascal) must find a way to battle the Tao Tei and protect the wall from their fearsome assault.

Homeland

If you’re looking for an intense and thrilling show to watch, look no further than the hit series ‘Homeland‘. This political drama follows CIA operative Carrie Mathison as she works to prevent terrorist attacks on the US, all while dealing with her struggles such as bipolar disorder.

One episode in particular, ‘Tin Man is Down‘, starring David Portillo (played by Pascal) is a must-see. Homeland is one of the best Pedro Pascal movies and TV shows that is worth watching, boasting a stellar Tomato meter rating of 85%.

Lights Out

Even though Lights Out only has one season, there are still plenty of reasons to watch this hidden gem.

The performances are top-notch, with Holt McCallany playing a former boxing champ with a condition caused by his time in the ring, and Stacy Keach and Pedro Pascal playing supporting roles. But more than just the performances, this show takes a sensitive approach to its violent setting, making it a worthwhile watch.

Red Widow

In the ABC drama Red Widow, Maria Walraven is determined to seek revenge for the murder of her husband. But it won’t be easy – Maria must dive into the very underworld that killed her husband, an environment she’s all too familiar with as the daughter of a gangster.

Pascal appears in four episodes of the show as Jay Castillo – Jay is Katrina’s husband, brother-in-law to Maria, and a tattoo artist. Red Widow is based on the Dutch television show Penoza, and unfortunately, it only lasted one season, according to Rotten Tomatoes.

The Good Wife

The Good Wife is a legal thriller that you simply must watch if you enjoy it! It centers on Alicia Florrick, a former litigator who is forced to reenter the field after her family faces possible dissolution due to a political controversy.

This program isn’t your normal courtroom drama due to its meticulous mythology and distinctive legal cases.

Additionally, Pedro Pascal‘s casting as Nathan Landry, an associate state attorney, will keep you on the edge of your seat due to his outspoken nature and the serious tone of the show. Don’t miss one of the greatest courtroom dramas ever. The Good Wife is among our list of some of the best Pedro Pascal movies and tv shows list to watch.

The Adjustment Bureau

The enigmatic forces of Fate, are portrayed by Matt Damon and Emily Blunt in the movie “The Adjustment Bureau“. Some reviewers thought the film had too many plot holes, even though Matt Damon and Emily Blunt had excellent chemistry and the plot raised intriguing issues about fate versus free will.

Leigh Paatsch of the Herald Sun claims that even if they don’t comprehend everything, most viewers will still appreciate the ride. Pascal also has a minor part in the movie as a restaurant’s maître d’.

The Adjustment Bureau is a compelling drama with questions about destiny and free will and plenty of suspense, so it’s worth watching.

If Beale Street Could Talk

If you enjoy excellent literature, you must watch the film version of James Baldwin’s book “If Beale Street Could Talk“. The plot centers on a young woman’s struggle to establish the innocence of the guy she loves, who is falsely accused of committing a crime.

Pietro Alvarez, played by actor Pedro Pascal, connects two significant characters. The movie received an impressive 95% from critics, who also lauded it. Pascal’s contribution to the film, may not be the most significant, but is crucial to its success.

Bloodsucking Bastards

Pedro Pascal is the hottest star in Hollywood right now, having won the hearts of millions with his performances as a galactic Daddy Bounty Hunter in The Mandalorian, a post-apocalyptic survivor in The Last of Us, and Nicolas Cage’s best friend in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent.

People are clamoring for more of Pascal’s classic mustache and acting credits, so why not look to the past? Believe it or not, Pedro Pascal’s acting in Buffy the Vampire Slayer in 1999 was mind blowing.

Although he was quickly staked to death after being turned into a vampire, it was an important start to his career. Everything Pascal touches these days turns to gold.

Bloodsucking Bastards follows Evan Sanders (Fran Kranz) whose seemingly perfect life quickly unravels when his girlfriend, Amanda (Emma Fitzpatrick), dumps him and his boss (Joel Murray) gives his dream promotion to his long-time nemesis, Max (Pedro Pascal).

As his officemates start to act strangely and bodies start to pile up, Evan must put a stop to the evil that’s taken over his workplace and rescue his slacker best friend Tim (Joey Kerns) before it’s too late. He must also win back Amanda and save his dead-end career from becoming a literal dead-end.

Prospect

For sci-fi fans, Prospect is a must-watch movie! Featuring a gripping plot with a father and daughter journeying to a distant moon in search of valuable resources, the film offers intense and strange extraterrestrial encounters.

Starring the talented Pedro Pascal as Ezra, a rival prospector, and antagonist, the film boasts an impressive 89% rating. If you’re a fan of sci-fi, Pascal’s performance alone is worth checking out.
