Only a few days down and rumors of a sequel already sparking up? Talks of Bad Boys 4 are apparently already in place. Note that this comes right after the release of Bad Boys for Life on January 17, 2020. Sony is probably thinking one step ahead of everyone. It is all set to reunite Will Smith with Martin Lawrence as cop duo Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett. Do you know how certain directors have developed their “characteristics” due to which we can recognize them? Seeing all the explosions and action involved, we already know that it is a Michael Bay series.
Is Bad Boys 4 Really A Thing?
This is perhaps due to the very positive response the movie got before its release. Bad Boys for Life received over $ 6.35 million in Thursday night’s preview screening (something that Dolittle failed to do). Setting up a record for January in this way, what is interesting to note is that Michael Bay did not direct this movie. This means that the movie series can carry out with him. Will this mean that Bad Boys 4 will not require the services of the man who loves action a bit too much?
According to Collider, Sony has already approached screenwriter Chris Bremner to make Bad Boys 4. The studio does not want a 17-year gap between these two films like it is for the third and Bad Boys II. It is absolutely obvious that the movie will bring back Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Although we now know that the series can carry out without Bay, it is no point in developing another without this duo.
Right now, anything is too far from confirmation, this whole news can turn out to be junk sometime in the future. Who knows? There is no clue if the current directors Adel El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will be directing the Bad Boy sequel. Perhaps we might see the return of Bay?
