For Millennials. By Millennials.
When it comes to Star Wars, probably all eyes are on Ahsoka Tano, in Clone Wars and The Mandalorian. She has suddenly taken on a very pivotal role in the grand scheme of things in the Star Wars universe, perhaps even a ‘make or break’ character. For Star Wars: The Clone Wars, her role in planet Mandalore and meeting with Darth Maul could have sprouted several outcomes. Next, she takes on her former-master-turned-Sith-lord Darth Vader in Star Wars Rebels. Finally, now we know that Rosario Dawson has joined the cast to play her role in season 2 of The Mandalorian. However, what is her future in the story exactly?
Ahsoka Tano’s Future In The Mandalorian And Beyond
We already know that the Star Wars spin-off show starring Pedro Pascal is going to take on bigger steps in Season 2. The show has so much to work within the coming seasons. The Child, or baby Yoda, is the main highlight, and Din Djarin’s contribution is incredibly great. So, when Dave Filoni sat with Ashley Eckstein and others for an interview session, it was a chance to inquire about details. Unfortunately, as expected, they revealed only vague information. However, we needed to know about Ahsoka Tano, and any news would have been great. That is where the cowboy-hat wearing showrunner said this:
“I’ve done way more Ahsoka stories than I ever thought I would. It seems to be an unstoppable force at this point. I think we just have to be careful and make sure the bar is high and always tell good stories and ones that are adding to the character’s depth and dimension. We’ll see. But it’s potential. Potential energy is always very exciting.”
We do know one thing that when Dave Filoni is talking about the potential he is serious about that remark. Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian might have a very vague character storyline for now (for us). However, her overall character development throughout the universe is remarkable and is worthy of getting a continuation. That is why, she might just be the one with the most potential (apart from Captain Rex, of course).
