A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish Review

A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish Review

I‘ve seen so many Christmas movies in the past few weeks that now if I see Christmas written in the title of the movie I scream. So, imagine my shock when I started watching A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish and found out that it’s a Christmas movie too. You see I hadn’t actually read the entire title of the film and had very naively thought this Laura Marano starrer is the Hillary Duff starrer Cinderella Story remake. It is, however, it’s a Christmas movie too and trust me that is not a good combination.

A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish is Another Sh*tty Remake and Christmas Movie

Have you seen the original Cinderella Story? Because if you have, you’ve already seen half of A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish. You’ve also seen the other half if you’ve seen any Hallmark Christmas movie.

Honestly, there’s nothing much in this movie. You’ve got the old Cinderella storyline with the only difference being that it’s set during Christmas. Other than that there’s really nothing much to it. Actually, there is, there’s an awful lot of bad singing in the movie. And you know what makes it even worse, that awful singing is the starting point of the movie. I’ve got nothing against Laura Marano. She’s really talented but I’m not sure if I wanted to see her dance in a Christmas onesie.

Why You Shouldn’t Watch it

No matter how bad a movie is, I never say that you shouldn’t watch it. Because there comes a time when you’ve got nothing else to watch and then you have to watch the shittiest of stuff. I wouldn’t even put A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish into that category either. Perhaps, I’m being way too harsh but I’m done with shitty remakes. The cinderella story is just too overused now. There’s really nothing left in it.

And A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish is perhaps the worst of the remakes. First of all, who in the entire world would hire Greg Sulkin as a Santa?!!! Also the attempt at being woke in the movie when Laura Marano actually answers back to her stepmother….. Stop already, please. Stop even trying.

A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish is a cringe-fest. One you wouldn’t want to see. But if you like bad Christmas movies with bad dancing and singing along with zero chemistry between the leads and zero effort put in the plot, then perhaps you should give this movie a watch.
